Dr. Shatha Y. Murad, a native of New Orleans, is one of the newest physicians at The Baton Rouge Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of New Orleans, and earned her Medical Degree from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2013. She performed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas-Southwestern, completing the program in 2016. Dr. Murad completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2018.
Dr. Murad is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Certified in Endocrinology. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. She is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Illinois and Louisiana.
Returning home to Louisiana, Dr. Murad joined the Baton Rouge Clinic family of physicians in August of 2018. In addition to English, Dr. Murad also speaks Arabic fluently.
