Dr. Shale is the best! Lily is an excellent hygienist, and gets points for "good bedside manner" in her "floss talk", managing to encourage good oral hygiene without scolding. The office staff is friendly, compassionate, and efficient. A great practice. more

Baby-friendly 11/10/2011

My hygienist and everyone in the office was more than accommodating when I brought my baby in for my cleanings when she was ages 2 and 6 months. It just shows how they go far out of their way to make you comfortable. I never have painful appointments (I have bad gums) and they are all amazing at their work (cavity fillings included.) once you have been a client at this office, you don't want to go anywhere else. However, you pay for it. Very, very expensive. I have dental insurance--that's how I can afford it. more

Dr. Shale's Dental Office 10/25/2011

Although none of us like to have problems with our teeth, I must say knowing Dr. Shale, Barbara, Edie, Meg, Nancy, and the rest of the staff makes dental appointments something you can actually look forward to. Dr. Shale has been my dentist for over 25 years and he is without question, the best there is! I am also impressed with how high tech the practice is now - wow! more

check up - and an issue with a filling 10/20/2011

I was surprise that the filling completed at your office approx 2 years ago, might need to be "crowned" or worse. The discussion and ultimate decision with Dr. Gailo at that time was not nearly as "fatal", there was no necessity for crown or root canal. I'm not sure how it has come to this. All I thought happened was I chipped the filling a bit eating a bagel, and might need to be sanded down. But it seemed like the tooth might have cracked all the way down to the root? I'm just confused...I thought fillings last for longer than that. more

cleaning with Barbara 10/11/2011

As usual, Barbaraa gave my teeth a thorough cleaning, praised my home care and suggested Biotene rinse for my dry mouth and slightly pink gums. Xrays were taken and Dr. Shale suggested I see Dr. Dunsky about the resorbption in a capped tooth. A description of possible future work was given. There was good care and good communication. more
