This morning I called A Service Cab to pick up a guest and bring him to Lakeside. I let them know the guest was in the lobby and was paying cash. The cab then comes and picks up another guest who was already waiting for another cab. I called the company back letting them know what happen and she began to have an attitude with me. When I tried to ask how long it would take for another cab to come she hung up in my face. I called right back and she hung up again. I then called back to ask to speak to a manager she clearly states "" Your not speaking to anyone"" and hung up in my face. I then called another number and finally was transferred to a manager and he claims to have heard the whole conversation and was trying to explain that we should get room numbers so the cab can know who they are picking up. When I explained in fact that was not the issue it was how rude the personnel was he didn't apologize, he simply took up for her. I told him I would notify my management of this incident. \r \r \r I WILL NEVER CALL THIS CAB COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I RATHER TAKE ONE OF OUR GUEST WHERE THEY NEED TO GO BEFORE I CALL THEM EVER !!!!! more

What a complete joke of service. First off I called Service Cab and a cab pulls up called AService Cab, I question the driver to make sure it is the correct company and he says yes, that the company is now called AService cab not Service Cab because they went out of business years back. So why still advertise as Service Cab? Seemed odd to me or maybe false advertising but any way off in the cab I went. The driver wasn't too talkative and insisted that I keep the windows down instead of the AC because it caused his car to overheat! Then he drove like he was in NASCAR or something which left me feeling a little sick, combined with the smell of the car as well. Finally we made it to the Airport where he said he didn't take credit card which I had already told the person who answered the phone about my payment type and was told no problem. Anyway I said let me go inside and get cash from the ATM. So I went inside and got the money, gave him $40.00 and he said it was $60.00. I corrected him and showed him the correct rate that was on a map I had from the Airport I got when I arrived. He said OK then and just drove off, didn't even give me the change he owed me. I called back and they took my info and then gave me some guy by the name of Tommy s number to call. With all that done its 3 weeks later and no response from them or refund or anything. This seems to be a he said she said thing that will get no where. If this is how they treat a customer over a $33.00 ride then I assume their business management skills are not that great either, shaddie! I will never use this company again when I am in the area and I would caution others as well. more

Our local customers praise us and recommend us to friends and family frequently. We are concerned that these reviews are being written by one of our competitors in order to slander our business. Please know that if you experience any problems with our office or our drivers, call 504-834-4561 and ask for Tom or Richard. We will do everything that we can to resolve the issue immediately. We stand behind the excellent quality of our business, we are members of the Better Business Bureau, and we receive very few complaints through them or in our office. Thank you. more

Horrible!! 1/2/2012

This was the worst experience ever. They absolutely do not comprehend directions. I stayed more than 2 hours waiting for the cab and when I called to see why its taking too long; the lady called me impatient and gave me the biggest attitude, told me to stop complaining and hanged up on me! The driver was very reckless, ridiculously fast and almost hit a curb (thinking it was a u turn), until I told him that he was going to hit it! On top of that the cab smelled and the driver doesn't know how to count! more

Rode in this cab for the first time recently. I have ridden with several different cab companies in this area and all have given me problems. This company is first rate. The person who answered my call was nice and attentive. The cab arrived quickly. The driver was polite. The car was clean. A fantastic experience. Try them! more

HORRIBLE 6/15/2010

It was my first day in town on Oil cleanup work and I didn't know who to call and didn't have internet access at the time to get online to see. So I called a Service Cab, after trying to get all of the details worked out and scheduled I had second thoughts and when the cab and driver arrived I realized why. I sucked it up and got into the cab wich was very dirty and the driver proceeded to drive with the windows down and smoking constantly. When I asked him if he could turn the air on he said "It Broke", I asked for him to stop smoking and he said that he was almost done. At this point I was aggravated, I mean we are in Summer time New Orleans Heat "I NEED AC"! We arrived at my location for drop off and I paid him the total on the meter, no Tip because I didn't feel it was worth the fare let alone a tip. I exited the cab smelling like smoke and sweating, I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone, they were worse then the cabs in Mexico! more

HORRIBLE 4/15/2010

First and last time I will use them. First and last mistake. Car smelled like a sewer and didn't think i would make it out of my driveway it ran so bad. Driver was dirty and rude. it gets one star because I cant give it zero stars. Cons: HORRIBLE more

I realize a few cab drivers don't represent an entire company, but I had a very poor experience recently. I called and was qoted an estimated arival time of 20 minutes. Afte 40 minutes, i called to see how much longer it would be. They told me that I had NOT been waiting 40 minutes, even though the time I called could be proven on my cell phone. When I asked the cab driver (who arrived after an hour) about the grossly inaccurate estimated arival times, he said that if they told people how long it would really take, then people would call other companies. He also said that he didn't know if I had ever been to a "big city", but that's the way things work. P.S. Yes, I realize it is an ESTIMATED arival time, but to tell someone 20 minutes when you know for a fact it is going to be much longer seems to just be misleading the customer. Take a cab every where you go 6/25/2005

A Service Cab has very helpful drivers. They help put my groceries into the cab and when we get to my house, they help unload the trunk so far as to putting the groceries on my steps. They are fast in arriving to pick me up and are reasonable in price as well. They accept Cash as well as Credit Cards. PROS: Fast and efficient, helpful and friendly drivers CONS: more
