What makes Seneca Animal Hospital so unique and special? In two words? THE STAFF! THE STAFF! THE STAFF! \r
The staff at the Seneca Animal Hospital are in a word...""Precious"". Every last one of them. When going there for the first time, you will meet those beautiful, energetic, caring, compassionate, wonderful, and professional girls at the front desk. It is these wonderful young ladies who will put any fears you have concerning your pet to rest. They are always so sweet, caring, and just plain lovable. I should know...I have been a client for approximately 27 years or so. I can't tell you how many times these girls have put my mind at ease when I've called scared out of my wits over one of my ""kids"" and how quickly they will put your mind at ease while making room for you to come in immediately if it's an emergency. These girls are always on the phone either making appointments or calming someone down who is worried and fearful. I love talking to them; their knowledge about dogs, cats, and other pets is outstanding. These girls are the best!\r
After the girls at the front desk, a vet tech will call you in with your baby. First visit is to the left and the scales. There you will hold your breath and hope your pet did not gain weight or you will be sweetly and gently reminded by your vet that little Andy is too fat and needs to drop some more weight...or Winnie isn't too thin...""It's called a waist"" I was told by that man with the ""magic hands"" Dr. Fijas"" or more affectionately known as ""Duggie Wuggie"" or ""Feegee Weegee"". After the scales as you breathe a sigh of relief if the weight of your pet is ok, or start thinking up excuses if it isn't...you will be taken to your vets office. For me, it is usually Dr. ""magic hands"" Fijas"" or Dr. ""Cute as a button"" Tomaschke. \r
Once the doctor enters the examining room, all your fears will melt as you know your baby is in the best possible place--especially if they're sick with some unknown malady. If the news is bad, it is given to you with compassion and gentleness. If there is hope through some treatment or surgery, you are given those options. No matter what you decide...you are never, ever judged. \r
I can't say enough about the staff at the Seneca Animal Hospital. There is just one more staff person I'd like to mention. You should know that if he is there when you arrive, he will eagerly approach you for baked goods. He is always insisting that fresh home baked goods be brought in for him--even if you have a broken oven... That cute little Donny-Wonny has the biggest sweet tooth I've ever seen! In addition to that? He is a sweetheart of a guy. You will love him. Just bring in cookies, or cake, or donuts, or something sweet.
Pros: THE STAFF! THE STAFF! THE STAFF!
Cons: YOU WILL INVENT REASONS TO GO THERE!!!
