Close to campus, nice atmosphere, competent barbers 9/13/2007

My family moved to Tallahassee about a year ago. We have been all over town looking for somewhere to get my husband's hair cut. We were not satisfied until we found the Seminole Barber shop! We usually see Larry, but there is also another man there as well. They are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and still give the $9 haircut. They even have snacks and a few toys for kids (which is great because we have 2 boys who go with us). The only thing that would take this place from great to perfect is if it were a little easier to get to. Since it is so close to campus, it is easy to get trapped on the one way streets. There is some parking out front. more

Don't bother looking elsewhere! 8/13/2005

I found about this place my freshman year and went there for every haircut since while I was in town. They charge $9 for a haircut, but also do the hot lather on your neck and shave with a straight razor included. The 2 guys that work there are 2 of the nicest people you will ever meet. One of them has worked there for 40+ years whereas the shop has been open since the 40's/50's I believe. You can't go wrong with this place. more
