Most Relaxed I've ever been!! 5/7/2009

I just had the most amazing experience at Sedona Spa! I dont have a lot of extra cash to spend to treat myself but every now and then I just have to splurge! I got myself the Fabulous Facial and an 80 minutes massage! The most relaxing day of my life! Sharon the massage therapist truly has a magic touch, gently getting out all of the knots and tension in my over worked muscles. I hadnt planned to sit in the infra red sauna but when I got there it just sounded too good to pass up. Between the facial and the sauna I left glowing... I had people comment on how great I looked all week! Thank you Sedona Spa for giving me the best spa experience EVER!! Pros: Infra Red Sauna Cons: Does perfection have cons? more

Best Massage, Best Gift 5/2/2009

My husband bought me a gift certificate here for our anniversary. This time very proudly announcing he picked Sedona because they were the ""Best Massage in Dallas and have special newfangled Saunas."" \r \r Not sure how your man is, but mine is a notorious last minute gifter so I pretty much get a gift certificate for some sort of spa treatment for every bday, mother's day, etc. and I've never requested he re-buy at a certain spa because I've always felt there was still something better and wanted to keep trying until I found it. \r \r Well now for the 1st time, I have instructed him that this Mother's Day my “surprise” gift certificate MUST be from Sedona because everything about my experience there was so wonderful.\r \r Their reception staff was adorable and helpful and on the phone, staying on the line w/me until I found the parking garage, then even more adorable in person. As soon as I walked in, everyone was all smiles and I was pleasantly surprised when the owner came out to greet me, warmly shook my hand and then personally walked me down the hall chatting w/ me like she’s known me for years. I’ve never experienced that level of personal attention in any spa before. Everyone made me feel special.\r \r The massage was AMAZING. Best Deep Tissue massage I’ve ever had. She was so strong and worked all my kinks out with total expertise yet it was still very relaxing. (I’ve had deep tissue massages before that just hurt and didn’t fix my issues at all). After the massage, they handed me a wrap and a bottle of water and put me in their sauna. All I can say is WOW. Way better then a steam room and very different. It was comfortable, not too hot at all, but I seemed to sweat more. Loved it. Can't wait to go back!\r Pros: Great Services, Adorable Staff Cons: No cons more

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PLACE FOR A MASSAGE!!! 4/27/2009

When you walk through the door you will feel at complete ease, from your first or second sip of wine your worries will wash away, and if that's not enough get your massage done by DIONNE, and you may never want to leave. The staff is just wonderful, smiles when you walk through the door. The massage therapist knew without skipping a beat what I needed. She did ask questions, and was knowledgeable about her job. Skillful doesn't even come close to explaining how wonderful this therapist is. I truly felt like a new person, so much so, that I plan on running away from home and escaping to Sedona as much as possible. IF YOU LADIE OUT THERE ARE SMART YOU'LL COME JOIN ME!!!!!!! Pros: BEST SPA SERVICES Cons: LIKE I SAID BEST SPA SERVICES, WHAT CONS! more

Girls - this is the 'real deal' - Best Spa in Dallas! 4/21/2009

OK girls, this place is the 'real thing'. I'm a global business consultant so 'Best in Dallas' generally doesn't impress me, because I'm a 'spa girl' and honestly... I'm a bit picky. In fact I live in Uptown and the fancy hotel spa I used to go to wasn't 'all that'. LOL. But let me tell you Sedona is the best spa I've been to in years, from Chicago to Japan...this is the only one I'll go to in the future. The owner's enegry lifts up my spirits when I walk in, and the women working there are ultra-professional. For the money, this place is truely 'the best'. My personal favorite part, besides the hundreds of lotions and perfumes available for after-workout is the Sauna. I've seen a reduction in the belly area fat that I just couldn't get rid of.\r Good stuff - all around this place rocks! Pros: Sauna, Complimentary Perfumes and Lotions to get ready more

Wonderful Experience 4/15/2009

This is the perfect gym for any woman that is serious about getting healthy, staying fit and most importantly, keeping a positive outlook. You never have to worry about sweaty men and super competetive girls that make you feel bad for the carbs you ate last night. The staff is genuine and truly tailors your workout to fit your needs. The most amazing part is you don't have to pay extra for a personal trainer.\r The infra red saunas are amazing and do exactly what they advertise. I noticed my complection clearing up and my skin feeling smoother in just the 3 day trail period that they offer. I highly recommend the saunas!\r When I go to Sedona my typical trip goes like this: First I go in the tanning bed for about 8 mins, then I try and do a quick cardio before class starts. Class usually goes for about an hour but, people come and go as they please. After class I like to sit in the sauna, listen to music, read a magazine, and completely RELAX!\r This is by far the best gym I have found in Dallas and I wish that every woman gets a chance to try it. It's been my saving grace in this fast paced city. Pros: The absolute best staff! Cons: Parking is a little chalenging but not too bad. more

Very disappointed!!! 3/28/2009

I was very excited to go to Sedona Spa. I had a friend in from out of town and we wanted a good massage and facial. I read all the reviews and decided to give it a shot since their facial was cheaper than some of the other nice places. The experience was sub-par considering how much they do charge. The worst was during my massage, my massage therapist was TEXTING ON HER PHONE!! She was massaging my leg with one hand and kept texting. She did it 3 times. I am appalled at the professionalism! I have never been to a spa where they take the fact that you are spending $100 so lightly. I do not recommend this place! Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: texting during massage! more

Brazilian wax- DOUBLE DIPPED. (Gross) 1/13/2009

I posted a waxing review here a few weeks ago, and I think they took it down. Is such a thing possible?\r Anyway, just wanted to post again so people can make an informed decision...\r I got a brazilian bikini wax a few weeks ago, and it was really poorly done. The woman doing the wax DOUBLE DIPPED (ew), and when I got home, I discovered that she missed a couple of big spots. Not good. They charge $90 for their brazilian (more than any other high-end spa I've been to), and for that kind of money, they should NOT reuse their sticks, and the wax job should be thorough. Definitely NOT recommended.\r Pros: Nice atmosphere, easy parking Cons: NOT hygenic (double-dipping on a brazilian!?), not very thorough, VERY expensive compared to other high end spas more

Had the ""Fabulous Facial"" and LOVED it 12/16/2008

I just had the most awesome facial at Sedona. I usually visit a spa monthly that is closer to my house, but I received this visit as a gift from a client. It was appropriately called the ""Fabulous"" facial and its so very relaxing. Matter of fact, when it was over and time for me to get up and get dressed, I actually fell asleep. I had their newest esthetician Jennifer who was very knowledgeable and had great technique. She even massaged my scalp and brushed my hair. The best part for me was the foot scrub with massage. I have already booked my appointment at Sedona for next month as they have completely won me over. Pros: Cushy Robes more

Best Gift I've Ever Gotten! 12/16/2008

I got a gift certificate for my birthday this year. I hadnt heard of Sedona before, but was excited to go to the spa! I am a student so it's not something I could afford to do on my own. When I called to book my appointment they were very helpful and friendly, and even offered for me to call back the day of my appointment to help me navigate my way through downtown (I'm not from Dallas). I was happily surprised at how easy they were to find and that they validated my parking. It was such an enjoyable, and relaxing experience that I've already put their gift certificates on my gift wish list for next year! Thank you Sedona! Pros: Friendly Staff!! more

Sedona is my one true Love! 12/16/2008

I've been coming to Sedona and using the Sauna for a while now, and just absolutely LOVE it!! I've always had sinus and seasonal allergy problems, but using the sauna on a regular basis has almost completely cleared it up! I feel better, I have more energy, and I'm losing weight!! What more can a girl ask for!! I would absolutely recommend Sedona to anyone who enjoys a positive environment, and is looking for an awesome spa experience! Pros: Parking is easy for downtown! Cons: Nothing!! more

Best Facial in town 11/28/2008

After receiving gift certificates to the Sedona Fitness Center, a spot I had been intending to visit since it opened, I made an appointment for a facial. What a treat! From the fluffy robes, the cheese and fruit plate, the warm slippers and inviting staff I new I was in for a great facial. Jennifer was fantastic. She was informative about skin care and very encouraging with her ""it 's never too late attitude"" and recommendations for and easy regime to follow. She even massaged my arms, hands and feet. I will be back to Sedona and I plan on giving some gift certificates to lucky friends for the holidays. Run, don't walk to Sedona. You won't be disappointed.\r \r more

Best Bikini Wax I've ever had 11/26/2008

I've gotten bikini waxes before but this was my very first brazilian bikini wax and I was a little nervous, but because it was Sedona Spa it turned out to be the best wax I've ever gotten. Jennifer was WONDERFUL and professional in every way. She was friendly, she put me very at ease and made me very comfortable, she was extremely good at waxing, she pulled the strips very taut and very quickly so it was surprisingly not as painful at all as any of the waxes I've gotten in the past, and she did a great job of getting ALL the hair that I wanted gone. Plus, I was skeptical at first but it is true that their wax does not stick to your skin so it won't tug in unpleasant ways. Also, I have very sensitive skin that gets irritated and bruises easily, prone to ingrown hairs and the little red ""razor"" burn bumps so it usually takes a few days for the redness or any irritation to go away but with this wax there was barely any of that at all on the very same day that I had it done, it was fantastic. And the cream they offer to put on it afterward to prevent irritation is also a very high quality product that works well. Absolutely worth every penny, best brazilian bikini wax and best bikini wax in the dallas area, period. I would recommend this to anyone. more

THE Best Massage I have ever had! 11/20/2008

My husband sent me to Sedona Spa with a personalized birthday gift certificate he designed for me himself (loved it!) Everyone there is very real and there is this really good happy energy there that instantly surrounds you as soon as you walk in. I am a huge spa junkie who while always enjoying myself on my spa visits around Dallas has never really received what I consider to be the ultimate massage. Massages are always good thing - and all spas are pretty much the same - but I have to tell you, the massage therapist I had at Sedona was the most amazing therapist I have ever had in my entire spa-going life! From the moment she began to work on me, it was obvious she is absolutely gifted. If you need a massage or you are wanting to give the perfect gift to someone who really needs truly excellent work done on their body, you MUST book it at Sedona. I have now been back to Sedona 3 times, personally requesting Dionne and making a point to also sit in their special Saunas. Each time, I have always received excellent attention and service by their staff and Dionne has never disappointed me. \r Pros: Loved my mimosa! more

Buyer Beware 11/17/2008

I normally do not write reviews; however, I had such a terrible ?non-experience? at the Sedona spa that I wanted to share my story. I am currently a student and a friend of mine bought me a massage and sauna at the Sedona spa for my birthday. I was excited after seeing all of the good reviews this place has received. On the day of my appointment, I left 30 minutes in advance to come to the spa (which is only 10 minutes away from me). On the way, I ran into traffic due to an accident that was on the road. I called the spa to mention to them that I was going to be late. I was told that the time would cut into my session. Once I reached the spa, after battling traffic, I was told that I had missed my appointment and therefore had lost my certificate. I could re-book but would have to pay for that day?s appointment as it would be considered a late cancellation. I would also like to clarify that I was not told of their cancellation policy on the phone when I initially booked the appointment with the manager. Right there went my whole gift certificate (and my friend?s money/my birthday present) down the drain. Even after speaking to the manager, I was told that nothing could be done despite my good faith effort to make it there on time and calling ahead since I was going to be late. I am pretty surprised and appalled at the level of service I received at this spa. The circumstances in this situation were completely beyond my control and I find it difficult to believe that I am the first person to ever be late due to being stuck in traffic due to an accident on a major Dallas highway (I-35). It seems surprising that given I was a first time customer, the spa was willing to throw away all future business opportunities they had with me by choosing this course of action. I would strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of buying a gift certificate to this spa not to as they clearly do not care to provide service once they have already received payment. more
