2.6 was first what I saw, strange... Very nice presentation, I wish I could make one like yours. Is it possible to connect my blog http://pc-servis-kompjutera-kod-fontane.blogspot.com/ with JUDY's profile for promotion. Many thanks. more

Great work 8/7/2013

They did a good job getting my laptop up and running again after the power jack loosened from the board. After it stopped getting power from its cord, I was nervous that I would have to end up just buying a new computer, but the repair work was not too expensive at all. I would recommend more

Seattle Laptop 8/25/2011

The attitude of the employees and owner at Seattle Laptop was friendly and helpful! I had a broken usb port on my desktop. The owner replaced a part on my usb cable so it would fit into another usb port in less than 5 minutes and did it for free. Great, fast service! more

Stay away from these useless liars 9/14/2008

Terrible service, they cannot fix your machine, they have no idea what they're doing and above all they are the rudest people I've ever met. They're scum and I hope they go out of buisiness soon. more

Good for old ladies with progressive politics who know little 7/20/2007

ok, so I can't rate anything except the people skills and the fact that my rental from them worked just fine. There were no hidden charges and nothing that didn't work. After a week I decided to return it and get a new one--a PC. I'm still hoping that in the 14 day trade period they can find me a Mac--you can tell I'm not a computer person) but the price was right and my laptop comes with lifetime tech support. The group had all the various tech personalities--a curmudgeon who huffed and puffed, a dreamer who couldn't get the forms filled out expeditiously and the junkie who did things clearly, quickly and two steps ahead. Proviso--if you are in a hurry, the guys just slow down. Maybe this will pick up when/if they figure out the service thing. Still, they advertise on Progressive Radio and they have ecological light bulbs and coffee for sale. Toni C. more

Good enough 7/3/2007

I took my Dell 700m laptop to Seattle Laptop. I've read some negative reviews so I thought I'd weigh in. I had a bad fan. I ordered the part and took it in to the store for install as the replacement required a bit more disassembly than I'm comfortable with. I also asked them to address a driver issue and increase my memory from 1/2gb to 1gb. I paid the $40 for expedited service on a Friday. They called me back on Tuesday and it was done. They stuck to their estimate so I'm a happy camper. My one caveat... they forgot to install the memory I requested so I just bought it there and did it myself... not a big deal, but still, I do think they could reduce these negative reviews if they had a policy of having the tech read the customer sign-in sheet, make a checklist, and check off each item before closing the ticket. I'm happy enough and will use them again, but just a little more attention to detail and I'd have been even happier. A memory install is as easy a repair as there is. more

Slow and incompetent 4/26/2007

So I brought an IBM Thinkpad in for service. On boot it displayed "fan error". I was told it would take 10-14 days for service and cost around $180. "Sounds good", I thought. They were very clear and direct - two traits that never surfaced again. So everyday after day 14, I called and was told either that it was next in the queue or that it was currently being worked on. On day 20, I was called and told they diagnosed the problem. Get this - the fan is defective, they said. Really? You got a whole team of monkeys working back there - I asked? Ok, it was several days late, and the problem was diagnosed - but not fixed. So fix it - I say. THREE weeks later, it's fixed. What took so long - I asked? The part was very hard to find. "Hmmm" - I think sceptically. I get home and google the part number - I find six hits very easily. Fine, I think. Problem fixed and at cost ($180). Sure the service was slow and they lied, but at least it's fixed. Now, four months later. The laptop fails with the same fan error. It's out of warranty. Not trusting Seattle laptop I just take the thing apart myself. It took me about half an hour, and I discovered that they put in THE WRONG PART! I find the right part on the internet, and four days later (it shipped from Canada) it is now running. Cost for part on internet: $35. In short, I would never, ever take anything to this shop again more

Laptop Repair 9/24/2006

I strongly recommend Seattle Laptop (on Aurora). They sell new and used laptops of all kinds and do repairs as well. We've bought a laptop from them and used them to repair others. They're very transparent (web page tells you the rules on cost, etc.) and they're great about telling you how to fix things yourself. http://www.seattlelaptop.com/ charla more

Incompetent, rude and smug 4/5/2006

It’s places like this that are going to give hardware engineers the same reputation as used car salesmen. The staff are know nothing know it alls, patronizing and genuinely clueless. They were point-blank rude to me when I called them to find out the status of a simple repair. I emailed them before taking my machine in and they assured me they knew exactly how to fix this issue as they’d seen it many times before. Not only were they unable to fix it but they initially misdiagnosed it as a completely different issue, took much longer than they promised to apply their botched fix and charged me way more they said they would. The reason they gave for not getting my machine fixed in time was “we get a lot of machines to repair every day” – this is not a good excuse for extremely inaccurate estimates. I couldn’t recommend anywhere less. They are the definition of the word “Shysters”. more

Your Laptop Vets 8/20/2005

Need a new keyboard after deciding your last Dell Inspiron looked thirsty? Meet your new heros. I've got to believe that despite their modest business bedside manner, these guys shed their purple pullover uniforms at the end of the workday and don their Superguy outfits to right the rest of the world. Great service thats priced better than your OEM support. more
