La Villa is my go to place for business lunches, and weeknight dinners with my family. I have been going there since it first opened and the food has NEVER let me down. The setting is casual elegant, the waitstaff is young,friendly and energetic and the owner will treat you like family. more

Best Seafood 6/13/2011

Loved it! 5/9/2010

Everything was just right. Food, service and overall ambiance of the room. And when they politely asked a young couple to leave when they were unable to control the shrill cries and screams of their child (without charging them for their entrees) I thought: "Yes, a restaurant management that is committed to respectful, adult dining." I wish more restaurants were as proactive (and protective) of their clientele. Thank you, Seashore. I'll be back soon! Pros: No kids, charming staff, perfect seafood Cons: Not closer to home more

RIPOFF and Racists... 4/25/2010

OK so we went there yesterday 4/26 about 6 ppl. First of all the menu prices are insane but thats not my problem, so i am not a white guy. So you know where this is going right? We were treated like crap ... Menu clearly states that lunch special comes with fruit juice or fruit plate, coffee and dessert. We were not even asked for any of that. All we got was lunch special and thats it... When we asked the waiter is fruit or juice included he clearly stated NO. At the end I was so pissed we just wanted to get the hell of there. Had a word with manager and that guy was just trying to kiss our ass at the end. But all is all what a bad experience. Will never go back there again.? Pros: none Cons: Worst service and very bad management more

LAWSUIT 4/2/2010

LAWSUIT. I went to this restaurant with my wife and 3 year old son at 5 PM on a Friday night. The restaurant was maybe half full. My son was crying as he couldn't find one of his toys and we were thrown out of the restaurant! The manager didn't even warn us or ask us to take him outside to calm him down. He just ran up to us with a wild look in his eyes and said people are complaining and you have to leave! Do not take a child to this restaurant. Although the overall experience has deteriorated over the years, they think they are too good for babies and are completely unprofessional! You really sank your boat Seashore Restaurant. My family and I have been going to Seashore for over 20 years. Lately I've noticed a HUGE change. On a recent visit, there where flies EVERYWHERE. The service has gooten extremely slow. It took 45 mins for the salad to come out, it was a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy. When it finally did come out, the crotons were stale and the lettuce soggy. The fried seafood combo tasted like it came out of a frozen bag from a bad supermarket. The Ahi tuna sandwich gave me food piosining. After 20 years, my family and I will no longer be going to Seashore. more

Another City Island restaurant with great views but not much else. Nicely decorated in kitsch but average food at better than average prices. Not sure we'd return. more

GREAT BAR!!! 1/15/2008

Bar is great and atmosphere as well. Eventhough I can't eat seafood there is a wide variety of selection of other dishes. Food is great, service is good, prices are reasonable. Bar is great to hang out on a Friday night and have a drink!!! more

A Great Place 2/2/2005

If you want a large helping of seafood, then this is the right place for you. I was there with some friends and I had the rib eye and lobster tail. The lobster tail was good, but I thought the rib eye was better. I had some friends order the Seafood platter for 2 and it'd probably feed 3-4 really. Came out to about $50 per person with entree, (comes with side order and salad), drinks and an appetizer. It was pretty good overall. I'd recommend it. more

The food was good and plentiful,and I do mean plentiful. The prices are very steep. I ordered the Shell Fish Feast for two. This dish included: 2 half lobsters, baby tails, shrimp, baked clams and king crab legs. Bring a huge appetite. If you have this dish have them broil it, it tastes much better than the steamed version. Pros: Hot food, Plentiful, Good Service Cons: Over-priced, Hard to get to more
