Scrub A Pup

I am incredibly particular about everything related to my pups. That being said, I have been using Scrub-a-Pup exclusively every two weeks for over two years now. Never with any of my pets have I found a groomer that my pups are so excited to see. The price can't be beat and the service is on par with high dollar pet spas. more

I called and specifically asked the price to have 2 dogs groomed there. I was told it would run between 18 and 25 dollars per dog. However, when I picked up my dogs, the total cost instead of 50 dollars was 65 dollars!!!!! I asked for an explanation, and was told, ""It's just according to how the dogs act."" I said that's the reason you have a range of 18 to 25 dollars. They said, ""Oh, it can be more than that!"" I said, ""So you just tell people whatever you want and then when they come in you charge them whatever you want?"" She said, ""I'm sorry."" Earlier, the owner was rude. She tried to tell me my dog is twice as old is she is. The point is, why are people rude to paying customers? I HAVE SINCE BEEN TO MY VET AGAIN. HE SAID THAT LADY IS NOT A VET... SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT SHES TALKING ABOUT. THIS DOG HAD A VIRUS WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG, & IT RUINED HER TEETH. She's not 6 or 7, she's not even 4 years old! That owner of grooming shop was rude. She accused me of not caring of her, and said she was disgusting!!!! I have NEVER had someone speak to me like that! And I don't appreciate being taken for 15 dollars. As far as how my dogs look now, they just completely shaved one of them, instead of giving her a puppy clip like I asked. No, she was not matted all over. She had one small mat on her back. (My other dog only needed a bath. I said no trim, and said she has sensitive skin and thin hair... and not to cut her hair! She trimmed her hair on top+ around her face!!!!! She had no mats... So bad!!!!)\r One shaved, and it wasn't even! All different lengths of hair all over. One bathed and trimmed that was not supposed to be. Then charged $15 extra! SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS. They really messed up, because they could have made a lot of money off of me over time. more

I have taken my cocker spaniel to Scup A Pup for over a year. Great grooming and wonderful staff. I have even used the boarding service and was pleased! more

The grooming was affordable, so I tried it for my toy poodle. He was nicked 3 times, and I was told he was like that when he arrived... they didn't even try to care. I know my dogs was mat free, healthy, and without nicks or scratches when I brought him, and when I picked him up he was very nervous. He is 6, and no groomer has ever said he was difficult to groom or wiggly. Pros: Convenient Location Cons: Poor Customer Service more

I would not take my dog back to Scrub A Pup. The trim was terrible. Other dogs were running throughout the grooming area unrestrained. They fed my dog without my permission-a big NO NO since my dog has severe food alergies. The employees seemed very disorganized. Just a VERY BAD place for grooming if you care about your dog. Cons: It was a generally bad experience. more
