Best

there isn't enough good things to say about this place. I love how my daughters teacher comes up to me before and after every class to keep me involved in whats going on

Worst

I sent both my kids to their summer programs last year, one for a group guitar clinic, the other for a voice one. It cost me more than $500 for both of them and it was only for 3...

School of Rock (And Jazz) 8/30/2010

A few weeks back, my friend recommended that I should check this place out because my band was looking to record a few of our songs for demo work (to use to present to venues, personal use, etc). When we arrived there, our expectations were blown away. The sheer amount of equipment and gear that was on hand was astounding, and so was the quality of it!!! These guys seriously know what they are doing, and I highly recommend them for anyone who is interested in pursuing a serious musical career. Our recording came out amazing, and we totally love it!!! Thanks! more

Great place to take lessons - experienced and talented! 2/1/2010

My daughter LOVES her vocal lessons she has been taking here. The teachers and staff are fabulous and I would highly recommend signing your kids OR yourself up for any music lesson here. My neighbor's son also takes guitar lessons here and they are completely satisfied as well. Don't listen to the haters - they are wrong!!!! Check it out for yourself! Pros: Terrific staff; experience and knowledge Cons: None thus far more

Best All around for Musicians & students 1/25/2010

As a former teacher at Bosse School, I feel that I have a true knowledge of its inner workings, its management, and it's students too. Though I no longer teach there, , I've taught in alot of establishments through the years. that I have much to compare it to. There is no perfect formula for getting kids involved, helping them progress, encouraging them, keeping an enthusiastic staff, having programs to creating a plan for students..etc. ) EVERYONE likes/dislikes something about everything!!! can't please everyone If the staff seem ""overly confident"" its probably because they work very hard to make the school a place that has more new age courses and options than the competition. As a teacher, my students there, even as beginners, were interacting with other kids way more than at any place i've worked (for lessons), from CA to VA. Their only source of business is really lessons, overall it is the best place/setup that i've worked in for teaching & having good students. If I lived in Boston .. I would still be there for sure Pros: Experience, friendliness, know how Cons: 1/2 hour lessons can be too short more

not a fan 1/2/2010

I took lessons at the Bosse School of Music a few years back, and always felt uneasy with the general nature of the business. They were always trying to sell you something. I know of no other music schools that do this. Most places you go in, have your lessons and for the most part that?s that. Here they constantly beg you to take this program, and that ensemble, and act like your doing something wrong if you don?t. I remember they implemented a ?certificate program? some years ago, and it was nothing more than a way to convince customers to voluntarily raise the price of their lesson in exchange for a ranking and occasional letter. Couldn?t a teacher just tell a parent how their kid is doing for free? What was so sleazy about this was the fact that they opened up a new building almost immediately after they did this. You don?t have to be a detective to see what happened. more

Certain people in that building have a ?you?ll never be as perfect as I am? attitude. Another problem I had with them was the fact that they constantly repeated the same songs over, and over again in the ensemble program. They also rearrange the songs, and it never sounds any better or worst. The guy just wants to feed his ego by showing off ?his? version. Meanwhile, the students are left not knowing the song the way it was meant to be played. My biggest problem was how suggestive the higher ups are. They?re constantly telling you how good you should think they are. A user below says they ?rival the greatest music colleges?. That sounds like something the people at the school would say about themselves. Albeit, not so blatantly. Pros: They have their moments Cons: Ego more

Hmmmm I don't know 9/9/2009

Well I have mixed feelings about this place... A couple of the teachers are excellent!! My son had a great time at Bosse and loved his teacher, and there are some excellent programs for the kids. However my daughter took lessons from a couple of guitar teachers and they didn't really plan the lessons well, kind of on the fly. The make up policy is a little bizarre and they do tend to try to empty the cash out your pockets. The recording studio is so-so.... my son has the same set up in his room. We really wanted to stay at the school for my son's piano teacher but we had to switch to another because we couldn't afford to pay for lessons we couldn't make... more

Great singer! 9/8/2009

I went out to see this singer and her band this weekend.....LOVED IT! I googled her today to hear more and found this review and I need to put my 2 cents in. As a musician myself I thought the show was fantastic all around. Haven't actually been to the school itself but the band was great when I meet them. Nice, Sincere and Undoubtedly talented. Sounds like MC94 has a personal grudge to me Pros: Good music more

Bosse is Great 9/8/2009

I personally took lessons at this school and find the teachers to be great, they are not fake and all have degress in music Pros: teachers and ensembles more

The Best for Music Education...Hands Down!!!! 9/8/2009

Bosse School of Music has been on the cutting edge of music education since it opened...with a first rate faculty and a myriad of exceptional programs and courses, this place rivals the offerings of the greatest music colleges!!!! Pros: Faculty, Programs, Courses etc... more

Bad place! 7/1/2009

The Bosse School Of Music is full of very fake, and pretentious people. They try really hard to get as much money as humanly possible out of each customer. I have also seen them talk about customers behind their backs. I wouldn?t recommend this place to anyone. Cons: It's a scam more
