Best

there isn't enough good things to say about this place. I love how my daughters teacher comes up to me before and after every class to keep me involved in whats going on

Worst

I sent both my kids to their summer programs last year, one for a group guitar clinic, the other for a voice one. It cost me more than $500 for both of them and it was only for 3...

Logic Pro 101 4/4/2012

The Logic Pro 101 course is extremely thorough, and when I say thorough, I mean soup to nuts. From gear set up , to microphone placement to the specific software in use on the D.A. Station, it's all the info you need. You'll leave learning more in a day than you could teach yourself in a month! more

Best Place to go for lessons for families 4/4/2012

Kids teens and adults are all welcome to Bosse School of Music. Compared to other centers for learning music (pre-college) such as All Newton Music School, The SS Conservatory and the Yamaha Music School, they are by far the most reasonably priced and flexible in scheduling/time offered. Not to mention really nice people to work with. The staff is very friendly, and have the experience to teach music beginners and advance students alike. more

CITY SEARCH IS SPAAAAAM CITY 3/26/2012

Regarding some of the very negative and personal attacks written by (clearly the same individual over and over and over) City Search's policy is to allow CUSTOMERS to review businesses, not people who admit they are not customers in their posts, and use words like ""propaganda and ""burning bridges"" these are obviousy not client reviews, and City search does not monitor or do it's job with regard to this aspect of legitamate client reviews. Until it does, you'll get lots of lies, and people who have an open forum to talk trash with no interference, who also get to remain anonymous. I won't trust a review from this site, good or bad. Do your job Citysearch, and this type of personal banter won't taint your site. Get it together more

Really Psyched We Found This Place!!! 3/26/2012

My husband and I just signed up our 2 daughters and the whole process has been wonderful!!! The front desk staff is extremely helpful, and they seem to be genuinely interested in making everyone happy. We noticed that they do a lot of things other than just private lessons which he hope to sign the kids up for. more

One Review For You 3/26/2012

As a student, I can safely say that this place is great. My teacher Sam is really nice and makes sure I get what we're doing before we move on. I take lessons on guitar with Sam and do some recordings through logic on their computer in their studio. I have had alot of fun being here :) I wanted to leave a good review for them because almost all the negative reviewers have only one review. I don't think it's right for that to happen :/ thats jusy being mean. They all are nice people and want you to get better at what you love to do :D more

They're thieves 3/26/2012

I paid for lessons that i never received. When I asked about the lessons, they said that I could only be absent a couple times within the year, after that I would be charged for the lesson even if I gave 24 hrs notice. I paid for about $200 in lessons that I never received nor reimbursed for. more

??? 3/16/2012

Their primary talent is ?burning? bridges while taking self-reverence to the next level. They?re okay when it comes to music education, but it?s secondary. more

Avoid 3/14/2012

A lot of rhetoric without any substance. These people are always looking to make buck off of you without giving you anything in return. I'm also pretty sure that the good reviews of this place were written by the owners. Beware more

Not worth it 3/6/2012

As a former teacher here, I can honestly say that more than half of what this place is claiming to be is a lie. This place is a business only, NOT a school. It is not accredited by the state, nor held to any educational standards. They call themselves a ""pre-degree granting school""...lol. The term ""school"" is a marketing scheme. Their ""certificate program"" is $189 on top of the cost of lessons and Im still not sure what it is you're paying for. I believe it says you get ""structured lessons"", so I guess if you don't pay the extra $189 a year than your lessons will be unstructured??? Also you're teacher does not see a penny of that extra $189, it all goes to the owner. Their makeup policy for lessons is ridiculous, as you can only be absent 3 times in a year. After that you will be charged for any lesson you can't make. You're also charged for cancelling the same day. The faculty bios are full of exaggerations as well. They pretend like they are world renowned musicians, when in fact they just name drop musicians that played with them one time when they were students. Also, any radio air time the owner has had is only because he paid for it and not because the station actually asked him to be on. They constantly boast about themselves on their website, but if you want the truth listen to the people that arent trying to take your money. Don't go here. more

Lessons 2/14/2012

Been taking lessons there for years on piano, great bunch of people. Never had any problems with anything and they make sure I understand the problems I have with my music before I leave. Everyone there seems to want to help me better myself as a musician, which encourages me to continue playing. more

Good find for our boys 10/25/2011

Started lessons for our boys for back to school. Both teachers are sweet, and give clear instructions & assignments, that seem reasonable even for young kids. Now, getting them to actually practice the piano is a whole other issue! but to date, these ladies are doing great! I referred my co-worker and her daughter, and was sent a nice thank you note including a coupon for sheet music. more

Taking delusion to the next level! 10/2/2011

These people live off a healthy diet of Wallstreet and Mad Money. That pretty much sums it up. more

SCAM!!! 8/31/2011

The teacher I had was good and knew his stuff...but the cons out way the pros. This place is all about money. They have these scams like the ""certificate program"" which is just a way for you to voluntarily pay more for your lessons and learn absolutely nothing new. They will say that when joining this program, you will be able to perform in a concert, but anyone that goes to the concert has to pay a lot of money, and the concert is in their small recording room. Its not a real concert and this program only exists for their profit. Also if your teacher cant make a lesson they force you to take lessons with a substitute teacher. They dont tell you that you have a sub until you are already there so you dont have a choice in the matter. This is just to keep you paying every week. Bottom line, They dont care that you are unhappy as long as you keep paying more

Something For Everyone 8/29/2011

Offers all types of lessons and ensembles at an inexpensive price. Whether you're looking to learn a particular instrument or music software program, it will suit your needs and bypass your expectations. more

Bosse 5/20/2011

I took lessons here along time ago, and I had some good experiences, but the negatives out weigh the positive. There?s way too much self- reverent propaganda that goes on every time you walk in the door. They constantly talk about themselves like they?re above world renounced artists, all the while throwing out all sorts of brain washing phrases like ?next level?, and ?real deal? which suspiciously appear in some of these rave reviews. You sometimes feel like you?re being conned. It?s almost as though they?ve divided their students up into different monetary, and technical groups. Also, don't let them borrow anything. You'll never get it back. more

Not only music, but video production as well! 9/20/2010

I've been an avid musician for a number of years now, working in both ensemble as well as solo performance. I play piano as well as guitar and I also sing. I was recommended by my friend to go to Bosse School of Music because he recently went there to do a recording for his band and was highly impressed by the results. After setting up a date and doing my booked time, I noticed that they were currently offering courses in video production as well as other types of ensembles/ private lessons. I've always been interested in running a video session centered around a live performance, and now I've finally been given an outlet to do so. I'm currently on my third week of it and I'm loving it!!! Thanks! more

Bosse is The Place for Music Lessons! 9/16/2010

Both my sons have taken guitar lessons at Bosse for approximately 4 years. They have participated in a number of programs that Bosse has to offer such as ensembles, recording sessions, summer programs, special clinics and, of course, private lessons. In every case, my boys have had a tremendous learning experience and have had fun at the same time!\r \r I must say that Bosse has an oustanding faculty and staff! The staff always greets their clients in a warm and friendly manner; and the faculty is genuinely interested in the development of their students!\r \r I highly recommend Bosse to any one seeking instruction in music! more

This Weymouth Based School is a South Shore Gem! 9/15/2010

I recently signed my son up for lessons at Bosse and have nothing but great things to say about them! From my initial inquiry over the phone with them to my son's first lesson, the experience has been top notch. When we arrived at Bosse on my son's first lesson, the front desk staff was extremely helpful and to our surprise, the owner took us on a tour of the incredible recording studio that they have! Both my son and I were just blown away by the enthusiasm of the staff and the facility. I highly recommend Bosse to any one who wants to study music. They have private lessons for all instruments and voice and have a variety of interesting private courses that you can take! My son's enthusiasm for his lessons and his teacher has been infectious resulting in me signing up for lessons as well! more

Lessons and Ensembles are top notch! 9/13/2010

I've been taking my son to Bosse School of Music now for about a year, and I can safely say that this school is the REAL DEAL. He has been doing private lessons as well as some of the ensembles there, and each time he comes home, hes learned something new - whether it be for himself instrumentally, or working in a group dynamic. Keep on rocking, Bosse School of Music. more

Checking in from South Shore Plaza 8/30/2010

I took my daughter to the south shore plaza last saturday and while we were walking, we noticed a convention going on in the center of it. We took a walk through and noticed that ""Bosse School Of Music"" had its own table setup with not only information, but instruments, and a fully fledged professionally setup video of students playing (not dubbed, but playing!!!) an array of different songs. I wanted to sign my daughter up for lessons, but since she's young (7 years old), most places won't teach her. I spoke to the owners (Ron and Trina), and he told me that most of his teachers (who all have a bachelor's degree in music), have seven year olds as students, and it would be no problem to teach her!!! They gave me all the information, and they told me to stop by on monday to check it out. I just got back from the school, and they all seem like they know what they are talking about, which is who I want to teach my child how to play. I signed her up right away for piano lessons. These people not only understand their music, but go above the level by going out and making themselves known. So glad I went to the mall that day! more
