Very Chill Cafe 5/10/2008

Frieldly, welcoming and great coffee 10/13/2007

A very nice coffee house, comfortable and welcoming. Staff and proprietor are wonderful. A very nice place to drink coffee, munch on a muffin, and sit and read on a Sunday morning. more

Love It! 7/20/2007

I love the kinds of places that draw you in. Savor the Flavor did just that! Or, it could have been Geri sending out the ""we've got the best iced coffee in the city"" vibe??? Whichever, you've got to stop in. Friendly, inviting, laid-back, great atmosphere and AMAZING iced coffee! It's cold, fresh and just strong enough! This was a perfect pitstop on my way to the bus. Thanks, Geri, for creating a hideaway on Sheffield! I'll be visiting again soon! more

Overated with free wifi; great if youre already in lincoln park and sick of the pig 6/15/2007

This place is not nearly as good as Filter or the Bourgeois Pig. It has light colored wood floors and white walls, this places feels like a closed down art studio with kindergarden art on the walls. The tables are metal mesh, like what you'd see at sidewalk cafes, which is frustrating if you have a computer or want to write anything. WiFi is free for 2hrs, which is rare in chicago. Definitely better than starbucks, and bigger than the Lincoln Perk cafe (who also has free wifi). Small menu but my mocha was good, although grainy at the bottom. I will go there again. Lots of DePaul students too. more

if you come here and don't like it, you have deeply rooted issues 8/1/2006

This place has the friendliest staff who make an effort to get to know everyone who visits. Great coffee. Free Wi-Fi. Perfect Pros: yes Cons: no more

Cosy and relaxing 7/12/2006

Savor the flavor is the best cafe! Not only does it have great coffee and a great atmosphere but it has free WiFi that ALWAYS, ALWAYS works. Their ice creams are amazing too!! Pros: ice cream, coffee, wi-fi Cons: wish it were open later.... more

The best Coffee drinks around 4/2/2006

A must try is the Javette - a vanilla latte made with 2% milk. Sip it without a lid to get the full rich flavor. This place puts the mass coffee shops to shame. In addition, great food and ice cream for a very good value. Pros: Location, People, Service more

Everything at Savor is Amazing 1/29/2006

When you walk in Savor the Flavor is when your experience begins! The staff if so friendly and accommodating! The coffee, latte's, eats or whatever you try is fresh and delicious. Savor the Flavor is a MUST for me ! more

I've found my favorite coffee house in Chicago! 8/1/2005

I was first attracted to the coffee house because it has free WiFi. Being and IT professional, I think it's ridiculous to charge as much places like $tarbuck$ does for this. The moment I walked in I fell for the charm and ambience. I was able to get a few hours of work done while sipping on a latte in comfortable surroundings. I'm definitely coming back...without my computer. Pros: Surroundings, Menu selection, Free WiFi Cons: no parking more

support your indy coffee house!! 7/19/2005

Squeezed between no less the 4 starbucks within a square mile, owner Geri has managed to create an independant coffe shop flanked on all sides by the caffiene juggernaut. And what a job she has done! The friendliest service in town, great coffee, and some awsome ice cream to boot! Savor quickly begins to feel like home as baristas memorize your name and Geri will just sit with her customers and shoot the breeze. Come on in, get a Latte, enjoy the FREE wi-fi, and make some new friends. Best of all, relax in knowing that you supported one of the few and the best independant coffee shops in Chicago! more

Good people, good coffee 7/10/2005

This place is great. The girls that work there are so friendly, and the free internet is a nice touch. They subscribe to the major newspapers, and have a communal coffee table, so you don't have to spend 5 bucks to read the sunday ny times. Check it out Pros: Nice employees, Free Internet, Outdoot patio Cons: no parking more

Places like these don't exist anymore 6/6/2005

This is not only a great coffee shop but a great Chicago spot. Sitting here for an hour gives you a great cross-section of this neighborhood and the people that live in it. The coffee is good and the staff is the friendliest of any establishment in Chicago. The way these people remember names is unbelievable. If you do not visit this place, it's your loss... but please do! more

Best Coffee, Best Bagels, Best People 5/27/2005

Not only is the coffee better than Starbucks, the bagels and other munchies are far superior. And everyone who works here seems to be the nicest people on earth. I try to get there early when the bagels are still warm, but the place has a great neighborhood vibe any time of day. And you'll be greeted by Filicity (sp?) the pug. Pros: Great Coffee, Great People, Great Bagels more

Friendlest staff around! 5/23/2005

Savor the Flavor is a wonderful place to pop in for a to-go cup or a place to sit and relax, watching the world pass by on Sheffield. Good coffee, good music but most of all, a great staff (esp. Ally) who remembers you from the first visit on. People friendly AND dog friendly, Savor the Flavor keeps me out of the ubiquitous national chain on just about every other corner in Lincoln Park...and that's a good thing! If they only had a bigger offering of sweets, I'd be there every evening, too! Pros: Staff, Coffee, Music Cons: Limited dessert offer more

When you care enough to drink the very best. 5/10/2005

My favorite coffeeshop of all time. If I were to open a coffeeshop, this would be it. This neighborhood cafe offers coffee drinks, non-coffee drinks, ice cream, sandwiches, and more. It is light, open and airy, the coffee's great, the staff is welcoming, and they have free wireless internet access (with purchase). What more could you ask for? Pros: Friendly staff, Great selection, Internet Access Cons: Slightly pricey more
