Sasha's Suds n Duds

Coming from Kentucky, it was rough to try to find a replacement for IncrediPet's Dog Wash system - $12/hr included shampoo, towels, and (sometimes) an apron. Thank God for Sasha's! I had tried another place but I felt rushed; they had a timer for me, charged by the minute, and only gave me ONE towel for my dog! Sasha's charges you by the weight of your dog, so there's no rush to try to be out in 20 minutes or less. Their raised tubs and shampoo/conditioner hose system (talk about ingenious) make it a breeze! I can wash and dry *BOTH* my 35-40 lbs dogs in about 45 minutes (30 of that is just for drying time.) Water and shampoo and/or conditioner all come out of the same hose, so you don't have to stop, try to work shampoo pump by pump into your dog's fur and then rinse and then condition. Best part for newcomers: whoever is on duty is always willing to come help you out. Whether you can never remember which number is shampoo and which is condition or you need ten more towels, they are more than happy to help you out.\r As other reviewers have mentioned, what really makes this place The Best is that it's always clean. The girls always clean the tubs out after each dog/customer, there are several air purifiers throughout the store and they know what a Swiffer is. \r The boutique section of the store is SO CUTE. The owner is always finding the most adorable toys! Most can't be found in your typical chain pet store and she also has all kinds of fashionable leashes and collars. Parking is slightly annoying (only 3-4 spot depending on how many people there learned how to park) but there's always plenty of parking on the street if it's necessary. \r I have just one critique: PLEASE install more hooks for leashes/purses/etc; maybe one at each station and in the drying room. Not that I don't trust the employees, but I feel bad just dumping my stuff on a random shelf and hoping no other customers need to set anything down. fantastic little place in a great location. parking can be a pain if busy and someone parks like a dork, but at least you can park on the street. their main selling point is the bathing system in the back. two raised tubs are great for most dogs (as long and you can pick them up) because they are WAIST HIGH. INGENIOUS. but if you dog weighs more than you there is a shower (and a stool if you take forever). soap comes straight out of the hose which makes bathing quick and easy, plus they have great flea shampoo. front half is the boutique, with leashes and beds and clothes and whatnot. cookies are too cute and high grade, albeit expensive. friendly staff and friendly little daycare dogs, although they (the dogs) can be loud when you first walk in. plus they don't freak out if your dog potties in the store (but there is a grassy patch outside). most importantly the store is CLEAN. no icky doggie smell. Pros: open 7 days a week, lovely staff is so helpful Cons: no grooming more

I have been a customer of Sasha's for probably two years now. In that time I have developed a network of dog friends associated with the store and my dog Mazlow LOVES spending Thursday's there with Sasha, Jan and any other buddies that may drop by for a visit. I love either giving him a bath on my own or being able to have one of the staff take care of him for me. My dog is less than 20 lbs. but prior to finding Sasha's I dreaded giving him a bath in the tub as it always hurt my knees, the raised tubs are ingenious! Also, the treats sold at Sasha's are the only ones that I buy any longer as he loves the variety and I like that they don't have all the unpronounceable names in the ingredient list. I just can't say enough good things about Sasha's... and have never had a bad experience. If you are looking for a treat, dog gift or just want to take your dog for an outing be sure to go by Sasha's.\r One last comment, I am a marketing director and when I need a special corporate style gift for someone who has a dog... you guessed it, Sasha's cookies ALWAYS make a lasting impression on my client! I DON'T KNOW WHO LEAAL (THE PREVIOUS REVIEW) IS BUT SHE SEEMS TO BE HAVING A PERSONAL PROBLEM AND I WISH PEOPLE LIKE HER WOULD KEEP THEM OFF LINE. BUT I HAVE BEEN TO SASHA'S AND I LOVE THE WAY MY DOG IS TREATED AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS INCREDIBLE. IT'S LIKE A DOG SPA. I ALWAYS SEND MY FRIENDS THERE, ATLEAST ITS A RECOMMENDATION I FEEL GOOD ABOUT. You can bring your pet buy just to nose around or check out the store! Also bathing is very easy with towels, specialty shampoos, brushes, and employee help provided! And no time limits! Sasha's charges by how much your dog weighs! Pros: Extremely clean and store smelled great! more
