Threading is an ancient form of hair removal used in India and is becoming increasingly popular in urban centers such as New York , LA, Boston, Atlanta, London , Paris and Sydney . Extremely precise, it boasts the same long lasting results as tweezing and waxing (with less pain, say some eyebrow shaping veterans). Inexpensive compare to other methods of hair removal. Eyebrow threading is very precise and allows specialists to have greater control than waxing, resulting in a better eyebrow shape for you. Threading is done in salons with one simple tool. This tool is a piece of one hundred percent cotton thread. One end of the thread is held between the teeth of the eyebrow specialist and the other end is held firmly with the left hand. The index and middle fingers of the right hand then form a loop in the center of the string. Some Artist will apply baby powder to the eyebrows before they begin. The thread is then rolled over the surface of the skin collecting the hairs as it moves. The thread is then used to lift the hairs out by the root. This procedure does involve a small amount of pain. The amount of pain will vary from person to person. Many women find that this is the best way to get a great arch to their eyebrow. Because threading is so effective in removing even baby fine hairs, make up goes on much smoother. Great advantage for lot’s of people in rush, You don’t need to take off your make up. Eyebrow Threading aretists are hard to find in the United States but if you do some searching you will mostly likely find a place near you. Threading prices will vary from place to place but some places offer eyebrow threading for as low as fifteen dollars. 10 months ago I got married in a very traditional Hindu wedding and I must say, going to Sangita was the WORST mistake ever. I took a picture into Sangita and she ASSURED me that she would be able to do the henna that I wanted. Half way through my experience, Sangita started to get tired and kept insisting that her 16 year old assistant pick up where she left off! This is my henna, I mean as an Indian bride, you just dont do something like that especially when you are charging me for it! Let alone, my bridal henna came out horrible and I am so embaressed and upset everytime I look at my wedding pictures to see the horrid disaster that she created! Going to Sangita was the worst mistake ever and I totally regret it. So please, dont go to this salon if you want henna! Also, she is way over priced for Eyebrow threading, for those of you who dont know, Fort Lauderdale offers alot more professional salons that are less expensive and do a better job!? more

I chose to go to this spa because they accept SpaFInder gift certificates and they had 7 good reviews so I thought I would try them out for a pedicure. Well, I wish I never even went, it was so horrible! First off the door to the spa was locked, I had to call for her to open it and let me and another customer in who also had an appointment. Then the woman who was going to do my pedicure immediatley started talking about her personal life and there was atleast one curse word if not several in every sentence that she uttered. The pedicure station was dirty, the tub started leaking water all over the floor. She went and got towels to soak it up, but she just left them on the floor instead of actually cleaning up the water, all the while talking about nonsense. I swear she was on drugs because she made no logical sense. Then instead of the traditional pedicure where you soak your feet and then they scrub them and file your nails, trim your cuticles, massage your feet, and then paint your nails, all she did was file them, then used a drill (the kind used on acryllic nails) to get rid of my cuticles and then she painted them. And it is the ugliest french pedicure I have ever received! I could have done a better job myself. To top it all off, a roach ran across the floor as I was waiting for her to finish! The pedicure, which I was told would take 25 minutes, took over an hour because she would stop and talk every 5 minutes. I was so upset when I left, I literally went home and cried becuase it was such a waste of time and of my gift certificate. Maybe this is a good place to go to get your eyebrows threaded, but it is an awful place to go for nails! more

I was just there today and she remembered I was growing ""an extra line"" of hair on my eyebrows (which I forgot to mention to her).....and knew my threading wasn't due until next visit; I felt SPECIAL (as she does a lot of eyebrows - trust me she does)....let me tell you I have been seeing her for over 8 years and would not go to ANYONE else... Sangita's Beauty Spa is the best spa because it is truly customer orientated. The spa is decorated beautifully. The furniture is state of the artfrom India. The color scheme is attractive and unique. A special area is provided for the services that the spa can provide for its clients. People is well trained and sincerely friendly. Sangita, is the most outstanding . Her outstanding attributes include: hair removal knowledge, ability to uniquely style each client's Eyebrow individually and creatively. She, discusses all aspects of Eyebrow care.
