We recently gathered here for a family event. It wasn't a specially organized event or anything...just us getting together for brunch on the weekend. I have to say I was sorely ...

So good... 5/31/2006

I've been here once and would go again. I went as a part of a group, and they were very accomidating. The service was exceptional and so was the food. They have a menu on their website so check it out. Another neat thing about the San Antonio Winery is that they have winery tours so you can go check it out after you're done eating. This place would be great to go to with a group or as a couple. Pros: amazing ambiance, yummy food, fun experience Cons: out of the way more

One of L.A.'s best kept secrets 3/10/2006

I (literally) accidently found this restaurant/winery while picking up a package at a neighboring UPS facility. Having just come from Santa Barbara wine country, I wasn't expecting much. But I was floored at the wine, service and ambience. This place is in the middle of warehouse row just north of downtown L.A., but the buidling and interior transports you to the finest of wine country. I love the Syrah and Petite Syrah (under the San Simeon) label and the food and service (esp the service) was exceptional. I ate alone at lunch but will definitely be back for dinner with a date or a group of friends! Pros: Wine quality, Service , Atmosphere more

An oasis in Los Angeles 8/13/2005

I absolutely love San Antonio Winery!! Due to its history, this family-owned establishment is far from your ordinary dining experience. Not only do you get an overall great dining experience, you can take a tour and actually see the amazing history of this oasis in Los Angeles. Great wine, great atmosphere, great food, great service and even has a gift shop!! I definately recommend San Antonio Winery to anyone who wants an overall great dining experience with a touch of history. Pros: Great Atmosphere, Great Wine, Great Food more

Exceptional Service 6/8/2002

Had a chance to visit for the first time a couple of months ago for dinner. Don't expect anything fancy, as the food is served cafeteria-style where you choose and take it to your table. Still, they manage to have a cozy and romantic atmosphere at night. Prices are way reasonable and the food's not bad. Waiters and managers were all polite and helpful. Looking forward to lunch someday. Pros: Inexpensive, Easy Parking, Romantic Cons: Not Fine Dining more

A hundred years ago, the L.A. River was lined with wineries--only one remains today. A vaulted hall, stacked with wine barrels, is filled with downtown businessfolk and...
