No longer in business at the 210 S. Main St site - 03/07/08 3/7/2008

I walked to the site, (should have called ahead to hear that the phone was no longer in service), and found the building for this address had been demolished and construction was just under way for a new building. Pros: Good noon-time walk to find where the place used to be. :-) Cons: Business at this location no longer exists more

TRONCITY--I HOPE YOU ARE REINCARNATED AS MY PUBIC LOUSE 3/3/2007

Greetings, friends. My name is Srinivas Anathanarayaman, and I'm *HELLA* Indian. Troncity-- if that is your real identity (which is rare), you are completely wrong about this dining. This food made me feel transport to my home, it is great, and fast, The curries are perhaps unfit for an unsophisticated palate of a child raised in a brothel, but for members of proper castes this food is indeed splendid. To all -- I recommend it! Please enjoy this food as a respectful micro-cosmic of my land. Pros: Delicious food Cons: Troncity could be there- a minor possiblity but worth noteworthy. more

Great Food - Horrible Service 3/1/2007

Their curry tastes great and you get a lot for your money. I had a good experience at the 2020 state street location. However, at the 210 Main location the cashier was a completely inflexible grumpster. I wanted to order a veggie wrap to go and asked if he could put the naan (bread) on the side so it didn't get soggy, since I had a long drive home. He absolutely refused. I argued with him for about five minutes, and he flat out told me he didn't care and he couldn't prepare anything except exactly how it says on the menu. It was horrible customer service, and I'll never return to the Main St. location. Pros: Great Food Cons: Horrible Service more

perfect cheap lunch 1/2/2007

If you are a nine-to-fiver in SLC and eat out on your hour of peace from the office this place rules. Good alone or with company. The service is fast and nice. They serve pre-prepared curry dishes with rice and a side of pita. I do wish they served naan, but you get what you get. They have four or so veggie dishes that are spot on and thier chicken curry is delish. If you like spice sprinkle your dish with the red powder by the silverware. Makes it tasty. No it's not truly indian and no it is not anywhere near gourmet, but it is a welcome break from the soup/salad/sandwich drawl. It is not like downtown SLC has a kajillion options for $6 lunch spots. I highly recommend Curry in a Hurry. Pros: Yummy curry, great service, cheap eats Cons: No naan more
