If I wanted a taxi ride I would've taken Uber. I thought I was booking a sightseeing tour. The reviews looked positive. Perhaps they're fake or the owners friends and family.
Booked two tours online for two days. One day was told the tour wasn't running, even though the website said it was available and I got my confirmation. The guy on the phone sounded like a used car salesman trying to get me into a different tour, but I agreed. It was too late to do anything else at that point.
I was directed to a an awful meeting place downtown, a shady parking lot downtown where homeless people were sleeping on the grass and hanging out--was very concerned about my car the whole time. We drove up a canyon road and it felt like a taxi driver making very sporadic and lame commentary, not professional. We walked around a trail on a large pond on our own, then drove back. $50 for barely over 2 hours, which including some time picking up and dropping off others. The website lists it as a 3 hour tour--misleading.
Next day was a city tour, again very misleading. The website listed a dozen stops and we had 3. Commentary was unprofessional. The best part of the tour commentary wasn't even from the tour guide, it was from a hostess at a historic building that the guide dumped us on while he went to make phone calls.
And the worst part was everyone in the van paid different prices. One lady booked on a different website for $45. Another paid $40. Turned out booking online directly in their website was the worst price!
