Don't waste your money or time... more

Not good! They missed an item that was ordered. When I called the establishment the phone just kept ringing, no answering machine, nothing. I had to use my caller ID to call the delivery person to ask where's my missing item? He said that the deli was closed for the day and that the owner would tell GrubHub to refund my money for the missing item. Still waiting! The food had no flavor. I asked for mustard which didn't make it in the bag, like the missing item! I won't be ordering again! more

Sal's claim they make fresh pastries daily. I bought a a box full of pastries (sfogliatele, lobster tail, cannoli's, etc) for my guests last Saturday night and was very disappointed/ashamed. Not only did I look bad in front of my guests serving these terrible pastries, but I couldn't even call (Sal's) to complain because they were already closed for the day. The Pastries were all stale! The lobster tails were awful, the cream was stale and had a funny odor. Sal's deli should stick to making hot food because pastries are not their specialty. It will only hurt their reputation if they keep day old pastries on the shelf and claim they are freshly baked in the morning. Customers will (should) start to go elsewhere. I will not be shopping at this place anymore. Pros: Italian hot food selection Cons: Stale pastries more
