Today, I went for my 2nd visit to Salon Ursino and for the 2nd time left extremely happy! I schedule my appointments with Jason. He is phenomenal. The first time I went in, I asked him what he thought would look good on me and told him the styles and things I absolutely hated and couldn't live with. He got busy doing his magic and voila! I left feeling like a million bucks! I got a great modern, contemporary, ""hot"" cut that earned rave reviews and multiple comments from friends. I wouldn't have known to ask for this style, but it works great for me, and I love it! This time when I went back, I told him I wanted exactly the same thing he had done before and guess what? He came through. Today, he was going to leave the front bangs a little longer than I like, so I simply asked him if he could just shorten them for me a little more, and he did so with no problem, no attitude, no hassle, etc. Instead of acting insulted, he was happy to make that small adjustment for me. Also nice is that he doesn't push a lot of product when I go in. He's knowledgeable and can offer good advice if you're interested in something or need a product but you don't feel pressured to leave with bottles of stuff you don't need or want. I really love my hair when I leave there, and I will definitely be going back. I will say that it is more expensive than I am used to spending \r (about $50-60 for cut, dry, & style) but well worth it because of the results! Now I just have to hope that not too many of you start flocking there and making it harder for me to get appointments. :) Pros: Jason is an awesome stylist! I love Jason he is so awesome!!! He definatly does a good cut. Make sure to book a head of time because they are always so busy. more

A friend of mine from Lexington recommended that I try Salon Ursino. Aside from overly flamboyant treatment by the only male stylist and downer energy by his side-kick assistant, I can?t say I was really impressed. I have to say, the owner, who I had a pleasure meeting was wonderful, bubbly, cheerful, and quite a charm to be around and from what I hear, very talented. I will be sure to book with her?better luck next time. more

I have been going to Jay and Deena for a little over a year now and I just have to say I love them. I decided to write this review now b/c Jay just gave me a completely different hair cut and Deena darkend my hair. I just cut my hair into a really short sassy pixie and I am so excited to show it off. My color is FABULOUS also! My girlfriends and co-workers all go to them and are always pleased. Great place with real one on one care. Jay and Deena are like brother and sister that bicker in that loving and kidding sort of way. Great fun for all...... A co-worker of mine has been a long time client of Jason and when my hairdresser recently retired, I thought I would be lost without her. I made an appointment last week with Jason and Deena for the usual cut and color. Everything was wonderful. The salon is small but i really liked that personal feel. It was very clean. And I found them both quite delightful. Oh yes! My hair looked GREAT! Upon writing this review (which is my first) I noticed a rather bad review of Salon Ursino. I completely disagree with it since my experience was the total opposite of the previous reviewer's. But everyone has their own opinions. I'm already booked for my appointment in 5 weeks and I can't wait. Pros: service, accommodating Cons: none that I can think of more

I visited this salon and I will have to say I would never return. No one is friendly! Total attitude and the male stylist I had did not listen to a word I said. I think his name was J I feel like I am having a bad hair day everyday. It will remain that way until my bad cut grows out. I would never reccommend this salon even to my worst enemy. more

I just wanted to say thank you to Jason and everyone one at Salon Ursino. What started off as a horrible day, ended with a new positive attitude. I went in just by the chance that Jason had any opening today and he was booked. He must have saw how upset and dishelved I was and ask me if i could just return back in 45 mins, he would for go his lunch and cut my hair. My smile was from ear to ear when he was done. I was in the salon as a newer client. I had only been in once before. Deena was dying my hilighted hair a milk chocolate brown b/c I wanted to be more natural and my tan was looking great! Jason was doing a wedding party and everyone looked beautiful! I even got a mimosa and I wasnt related to the wedding party. I just thought it was such a nice gesture for a bride. They had a little table with mini muffins and coissants. It was so cute. Anyways my hair turned out fab as usual. I have been a Long Time customer of Jason. He is the very best at everything. From highlites to cuts to the ""night on the town"" blowdry. I can't rave about him enough. I went in on Saturday as a first time client for a haircut with Jay. all of my friends love him and said he gives great cuts so i decided to give him a try. L-O-V-E the new cut. long story short, I had an appointment at another salon across the street from this salon and the appointment was ""accidentally cancelled"" I had a very important evening and need to look amazing. I just walked into the building of salon ursino and by chance asked if anyone could foil and cut my hair (they must have thought i was nuts!) Deena was the best! my blonde never looked better! she calmed me down and relaxed me with her warm personality. i was further impressed by her skills as a stylist. Definately going back asap! I was recently at Salon Ursino and experienced the best service that I have received in a long time. The staff was really friendly and accommodating and I really felt that Jason took time to figure out what was best for my hair...you can tell he loves what he does. I came in with my pictures of what I wanted, and Jason delivered! I was really pleased with my cut, I wanted to keep the length and not have any bangs, but have it fringed and layered, it was exactly what I was looking for. I've found my salon!! I was also impressed with their service. When I had brought my coffee in from DD and they didn't make it right, one of the staff members overheard my complaining about it and went to Starbucks and bought me a coffee. Jason equals genius! I had a long layered out of date hair do and I was simply bored. I told him i like the length and wanted to look like a Jessica Simpson. HAHA. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but God blessed me with Jason's hair cut. At first i was hesitant about lots of layers as i saw him snip away and away but this is the best bombshell hairdo I ever had. The layers just flowed and accented all the right features and we finished it off with some soft wavy curls. He blew my mind with such talent and he is so young. Next time I'm getting Jessica's color too. LOL Pros: Jason more
