Salon Melini

I purchased a GROUPON for a haircut and partial foil at Salon Melini. The GROUPON stipulated that it was valid for Myunghee/Gina and Tabatha only. When I called the number on the GROUPON, it sounded as if I called someone’s home and woke them up. I asked to make an appointment and that I had a GROUPON. Assuming I was talking with Gina, she said that she did not have any appointments available and asked if she could text me Tabatha’s phone number so I could contact her. I felt uncomfortable giving out my number so I told I would call back later. I did some research on the internet and found the main number, which I called on Tuesday, November 26th. I’m assuming it was the receptionist who answered the phone. Again I asked to make an appointment and told the receptionist I had a GROUPON. I asked for the first available appointment was given Wednesday, November 27th with Tabatha at 10am. A few hours later I received a voicemail form Tabatha stating that she was double booked and said the first time she could see me was Wednesday December 4th at 11am. I showed up at yesterday at 10:50 and check in with the receptionist (?) I actually had to wait for five minutes until someone from the back came out front and asked if I had been helped. I am again, assuming this was the receptionist. 20 minutes past by when someone came out from the back and asked if I had an appointment with Tabatha. Apparently Tabatha was on the phone with her, as it was Tabatha’s day off, she has Wednesday’s off. Tabatha told the person she knew nothing of the appointment. I played back the message for the person as Tabatha listened to her own voice. The person then gave me the phone to talk with Tabatha. Tabatha said there must have been some confusion. Really? I had two canceled appointments for Wednesdays, and Tabatha doesn’t even work on Wednesdays, I had her voice mail with her voice scheduling a Wednesday appointment. I sat in the reception area for more than twenty minutes until they figured out that Tabatha was not working that day? I have asked GROUPON for a full refund. I do not recommend Salon Melini, I truly do not know how they have stayed in business this long if this is the way they run their salon and treat their customers. more

If you are looking for a licensed aesthetician who is both professional and friendly, look no further. I was very nervous for my first brazilian wax, but within the first two minutes of meeting Ngoc, I knew I had nothing to worry about! Ngoc is very experienced and does excellent, fast work. She is also a wonderful person who cares enough about her clients to get to know them on a personal level! I have been seeing Laura for a couple years now. I am pretty boring with what I do with my hair, but she does a great job. I never have a bad cut and it always looks great. Laura is very friendly and accomodating. She even puts up with my schedule changes at times. I have been very happy with her work. Alex is nothing less than fabulous! I have been going to her ever since high school, and now 6 years later... she is still my hairstylist! She used to work at a salon near my house and when I heard that she moved to a different location, though she is farther from me now, still I did not hesistate or think twice about following her to Salon Melini because her services is just that fabulous! I love going to Alex because she is very passionate about what she does, and very talented. She takes her time with you, gives you what you ask for, or if you don't know what you want or looking for she readily gives advice. She has proven herself time and time again to be up to date with all hair trends may it be style, color, or updo. When the bob cut became super popular, I went to her for this and came out looking fabulous (per the many compliments I recieved). I think this makes her even greater because she can pretty much do EVERYTHING! And excel at everything and be consistent at it at every visit. She also gives you THE BEST head massages when she washes your hair prior to your cut. I highly recommend her because Alex knows her stuff! more

I went to Salon Melini for the first time in May 2009 and Laura H. did my hair and she did it so perfect I couldn't of asked for more! i followed Danyell from 3 different salons. me , my mom and my 2 sisters. she's the bomb and super fast u can get foiled under an hour and a half. mistie is my girl now, she's fun and the color is bomb. my other sister loves lindsey, she takes like 3 hours tho-cuz she's a perfectionist, so i dont go to her. i get too antsy. but i love salon melini and i try to get others to go but they're just too stupid to go get done by good people, very irritating. The independent beauty specialist at Salon Melini work together as one fluid machine to make sure that all your beauty needs are met exactly the way that you want them. Lindsey must be the best hair stylist on the south end, and has a gift with coloring hair to make it look anyway you want. She has mastered the skill of the 'natural' color which is what I prefer. I have been going to hair stylist Mistie since 1999 and have literally been getting compliments on my haircut & color by friends & complete strangers ever since!!! I get stopped in stores or at work at least once a month by people asking for my stylist's contact information. Mistie listens to what you want and she makes it happen! She is always up to date on all of the latest styles and trends...thanks for making my hair look good! I truly enjoy going to Mistie's each and every time as it is always an enjoyable experience! I have never had any complaints with her or her services...this lady loves what she does for a living and it shows! I highly recommend Mistie & Salon Melini!!!
