This would have been the warranty replacement of the right front brake caliper, rotor & pads to resolve the growl upon coming to a stop. Also the right front tire bead was cleaned up to resolve a slow leak. Both of theses were handled in AVCC's normal professional well done manner.
Upon getting the van home, I was cleaning off the acid build up on the battery post, when I noticed the Intake Manifold & throttle linkage bracket bolts were not screwed in & torqued. Not even 1/2 the threads were screwed in & 1 of 2 throttle linkage bolts was found laying atop the manifold. the van had been in a couple weeks back to replace a leaking fuel rail located under the Intake. At that time, the mechanic who performed the work was fired shortly after my work was done, as a result of dissatisfaction with other work he had performed. I returned with van & the boys immediately fixed the issue & apologized while I waited only 20 minutes. In my opinion, one bad apple should not ruin AVCC's reputation & will not keep me away, but this mechanic's work, who they were dissatisfied with, should have been checked before turning the vehicle back over to me. I think the lesson has been learned. The guys in the shop now, are a good bunch!
In addition AVCC repaired a tire bead leak on my Dakota at No Charge.
