Salon 536

Due to the fact that I get my haircut every 4 weeks, I was looking for an alternative to my $50 cut plus tip that I endulge in every month. I walked into Salon 536 on a whim, and it was a great experience. Kayce was an awesome stylist, understood what I wanted, and was very friendly. I will go back, for sure. more

I am very skeptical about trying new stylists, one bad cut can make a gal very nervous!! I have difficult hair to put it mildly and a lot of it! The ladies at salon 536 did such a great job. Brandy was fantastic, she did a great cut and a great color. She seemed very comfortable and had a knowledge of all Paul Mitchell products. When I got home that evening I realized that my new color may be just a bit too wild for my job, I am in the military and we are required to be conservative with our styles and color. I called the next day and Sue (the owner) had me on the schedule that afternoon. They toned the color down a bit for me free of charge!! I got to meet the other stylist Ashley who was just a fantastic, she too knew her stuff and took great care of me. This salon is totally customer focused, they all want you to be 100% satisfied and as a customer it is nice to feel that your business is appreciated and not expected. more

After moving to Tennessee a year ago, far away from my stylist I had committed to for 4 years, I was skeptical about any stylists or hair salons. Ive had too many bad haircuts and mullet like mistakes on my head to trust just anyone. Needless to say after a year of bad roots and boxed colored hair, I finally gave in and realized I needed to find a stylist in the area! I came to citysearch and read the reviews and discovered Salon 536! Upon entrance the atmosphere was very contemporary with an amazing "color wall" that displayed all the hair color. I liked how everything the stylist did was out in the open and they didnt disappear from sight to mix the color or after they let it sit on your hair. My stylist, Ashley was AMAZING and listened to what I said and did exactly what I described. She took the time to answer any questions I had about products and I LOVE the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi products that Salon 536 offers. Overall I was very happy that I had chosen to give it a chance! I would recommend Salon 536 to all of my friends! more

Salon 536 did a great job on my hair. The Paul Mitchell product line is phenomenal, I haven't found a product I don't like! I recieved the Awapuhi Ginger treatment and my hair has never felt better! The treatment was so relaxing. I would recommend this salon to anyone! more

I am very particular about my hair and who I have cut it as I want to look my best and feel confident about my hair style. I like to keep up to date on the most recent trends and looks. Salon 536 is the only place in Murfreesboro that delivers on both of these needs. I brought a picture from a magazine of a hairstyle I wanted and showed it to the stylist. She said "We can do that!" and proceeded to work while making conversation to put me at ease. When she finished cutting she styled it EXACTLY like the picture!!!! I was so happy she went that extra step I bought the product she used. Not only did she match it exactly but when it grew out it was all even which I never experience at the other places-it always grows out in the places they miss. THEY DON"T MISS A THING HERE!!! My hair was dry, dull, and totally unmangeable. I had visited other salons for a cut and color and had been refused service due to the poor condition of my hair. At Salon 536 they took my hair that was out of control and gave me healthy, shiny, vibrant color. They took the extra time to condition, recondition, and protect my hair. The results were AMAZING!! I'm "Hooked"- I plan on telling all my friends. If you want AWESOME hair then put your trust into the staff at Salon 536. You won't be disappointed!!! It was a "Fabulous" experience! more

Going to Salon 536 is like going to a spa but they charge like a salon. I walked in and was greeted by what i think was the whole staff which was awesome. First thing got me checked in and a bottle of water and cup of coffee. My stylist was amazingly sweet and funny as well. She listened to everything i had to say and that means alot. I received an awesome shampoo that i never wanted to stop because it was so relaxing. My haircut i got was by far the best one of my life it works so well with my face shape and personality and it also grows out so so well. i have been searching for a long time to find a salon and now i have, Salon 536 is home. I went in just to get my hair washed and dried because I was going to a wedding in Murfreesboro and didnt want to do my hair. They knew I was in a hurry and still made me wait 45 minutes before starting. They charged 50 dollars just for a wash and dry. I asked how much a haircut was and she said they start at 40. I think it is very over priced for the type of salon. The girl who did my hair was very sweet but the owner is terrible with costumer service. The owner is the one who wrote the ticket and cgarged 50 dollars. I will not go back to the salon. more

I have brown hair but i like to wear it blonde which means i get really bad new growth all the time. I happened to see an add for Salon 536 and noticed that they were a Paul Mitchell salon and that really caught me eye. So yesterday i decided to go in and give them a try, when i got there i was greeted by the whole cheerful bubbly staff. They sat me down at there color bar and gave me an amazing consultation where i felt very confident in them and i knew i had nothing to worry about. Normally when i get my roots done they have to use bleach and that always makes your hair feel a little brittle. but these ladies used something called high lift blonde and it lifted perfect and in less time then the bleach normally does it made my hair feel less like sand and more like silk. This is my new and my only salon, and i would recommend anyone to them. If you want someone that knows what they are doing go to Salon 536. I DO NOT recommend this salon! My sister & I went here to get our hair cut & colored. The owner of the salon started me with a free consult, she completely confused me on what color she was going to use, therefore it led me to ask a lot of questions trying to comprehend what color MY HAIR would be. She then told me to think about what I wanted (even though I had already explained more than once), and walked away to cut another customers hair. My sister got her hair done by another stylist and I sat in the chair 3 1/2 hours being completed ignored by the owner who NEVER even spoke to me or looked at me again the entire time. This was by far THE WORST customer service I've ever had in a salon, and considering Sue was the owner, WOW! This salon charges high end salon prices without the talent to justify the cost. I would not recommend this experience to anyone as it was the most uncomfortable 3.5 hours EVER! Nobody deserves this treatment for asking questions about THEIR HAIR!!
