I do agree that S&S makes the very best cheesecake. However, last year I had them ship a cheesecake to Houston - paid a lot for OVERNIGHT delivery. The cheesecake didn't arrive until five days later; and, of course, it was ruined. I called S&S -only got to talk to a person once - then they never returned my calls. They never even offered to refund my money, ship another cheesecake - absolutely no compensation!! I gave up - stopped calling - even sent them a fax. No one ever contacted me. more

S & S Cheesecake in the Bronx is the homeland of cheesecake. It is light and fluffy and delicious and you've never had a better cheesecake. It's worth the trip all the way to 238th street just to sample their deliciousness. I know people who wait on line just to try a small sliver of their sweet delicious cream-cheesy goodness. more

The best cheesecake ever! 10/10/2005

It's worth the trip to have S and S. I don't think there's any other cheesecake in the world like it. People travel far and wide to experience the institution that is S and S. It is more than just cheesecake. It is a dairy and pastry consuming experience. We always have S and S cater our dessert parties and people come because they expect it! more

Great cheesecake! 9/2/2005

Don't be put off by the neighborhood or the nondescript storefront - Ring the buzzer next to the bar and enter the factory bakery store. Lighter than Junior's but still creamy and delicious, this cheesecake is fabulous. Made with all natural ingredients. Kosher too. For an extra dollar, they will slice the entire cake and place wax paper in between each slice. Extremely reasonably priced. A treat all will enjoy. more
