Scam Artists! I bought an engine from S&S or SS&J or S&J whatever they are calling themselves now. It started having problems at 10K I sent it back recently and got screwed by Pat Marshall the so called ""warranty guy"". My mechanic explained how the piston was defective and had failed but Pat insists that I was responsible for the defective piston they used, telling me it had to be timing or a vacuum leak. Apparently his job is to find reasons not to warranty their product. I'm in the process of having my motor shipped back to me so that I can find a reputable shop to fix it and I also feel horrible about referring my friends to this company. I had researched the this company with the BBB and they were accredited but has since been revoked. Not hard to see why. If you're thinking of buying an engine from this company, don't bother. They won't honor it and will attempt to charge you to repair your engine if you send it in on warranty, and if you scoff at what they send you as a diagnostic you'll likely receive threatening emails from the CEO Jeff L Johnson as I did.
