Ryland Homes

We bought our first home through Ryland 5 months ago. They accepted our offer, which was $12,000 less than the listed price plus added 2 ceiling fans and a refrigerator, and let us know within 2 days of submitting our offer. We had everything done in less than 2 weeks after seeing the home for the first time. Sharon and Brian were amazing with everything and we are 100% satisfied! more

Ryland Homes is just plain awful to work with. I swear this happened. We stopped by to look at a home and walked away with a flier advertising a price on a new construction home that was nearing completion. When we went into with our agent to put in an offer a week and a half later, they had raised the price more than 30,000. We put in an offer based on the price we'd originally been given. The counter from Ryland was for more than their original offer, and they said it was a 'discount' of 30,000. What a joke. We upped our offer by 15,000 in an attempt to engage them in a legitimate negotiation. They sat on the offer for a week and after having our agent contact them at least four times during that time (each time getting a promise that they were working on it), they replied back that the price they gave us was their best offer. My advice? Stay away unless you want to overpay. more

Terrible company with unethical sales practices. I was in the process of purchasing a home in McKinney and was planning to use Ryland Finance. Ryland Finance rep would never give accurate or complete numbers. I tried over and over to get complete details and it was always a shell game. Very fuzzy numbers. Then the Sales woman said NO NO NO to everything I asked the to do. The house needed repairs before move-in and I was told they may or may not be done. Then I discovered that their construction people were going into the house to use the restroom. I went to measure for flooring (which Ryland WOULD NOT help me with) and discovered a disgusting mess in the commode. I informed the sales woman. Days later when I went back into the home the restroom was still in the same condition. Finally, because of the horrible treatment from the Finance person, the contract ran out. Ryland kept my good faith downpayment and told me they sold the house to another buyer. So they may have been selling the same house to Two buyers at the same time. UNETHICAL COMPANY. BEWARE!!!! I feel ripped off!!! and I am out a lot of money!!! more

Over 50% of our sales come to us as referrals either by Ryland home owners or by home owners of other builders that wish that they had invested in a Ryland. Pros: The Best Quality in Krum!
