The service and the atmosphere are nice, but the food was not edible. We ordered the recommended dish, which was bland. The second dish we ordered, beef, was like leather meat. I ...

Love the food and drinks. Sometimes feel a bit rushed and it's noisy, but the food is always really good. Tuna appetizer is my fav! more

Very loud, expensive restaurant with good food and poor service and environment. There are many better restaurants in Baltimore for less money more

Top-Notch Food and Service Excellence 7/17/2011

Innovative 5/19/2010

If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary, this is the place for you. The tuna was so fresh, and the way it was presented on my plate was quite artistic. Downtown Baltimore might be a little bit of a hike for some people, but believe me it's well worth the drive. Roys originated in Hawaii and the food is different than typical Baltimore seafood. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Unique cuisine, Fresh food more

Perfect Food and Very Unique 8/21/2009

I went here for restaurant week and had an amazing experience. I asked the bartender to choose my items for me and she did beautifully. She was fun, attentive and a pleasure to be around. The hostesses were the same way. The food itself was unreal also. If you go, make sure to have the Hawaiian Hauipu (sic) because it is incredible. Pros: Great Service, Incredible Food Cons: Can't think of any more

Very good! 6/5/2009

My mom and I went to Roy's one night. The server was very very nice and really helpful. The food was good and the location is great. We'll be back. Pros: location, service, food more

Great Hawaiian fusion. And everyhing else! 2/22/2008

The Maui Wowy salad and the Butterfish entree are to die for.... The restaurant is so good that when I am in another state I check if there is a Roy's there. I am always guaranteed a great meal. If you haven't tried Roy's your'e really missing out. The decor and wine selections are as good as the food. The waiters are very knowledgeable and helpful. You must try the souflet dessert, even if you're on a diet. Tell Bryson that the Gellers sent you. Pros: The variety and quality of food. They have something for everyone. Cons: I ate the left overs that I brought home for my dog more

Innovative menu, great service 2/2/2008

One of my favorite places, I love the unique dishes served up...the butter fish is phenomenal. Interesting drink options as well and when your server shows up and tells you about the chocolate souffle that takes so long to prepare...order it! It's sublime. I know it's a chain of sorts but I love this place. Pros: eclectic fish offerings, great dessert, great service Cons: gets busy and noisy at times more

flavorful food 11/5/2007

The food is flavorful and the portions are decent. The wait staff is extremely friendly and service is excellent. The restaurant is bit too chain-like. If you want a nice quiet evening, this is not the place to dine. more

Delicious! 12/6/2006

When we first arrived at Roy?s on a week night, we were on time for a dinner reservation but had to wait about 15-20 minutes for our table. However, it was worth the wait. The wait staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I can?t wait to go back again! more

Absolutely the Best 11/13/2006

I enjoyed every minute hear with my family. From the bar and their wonderful drinks and complementary appetizer. To the fantastic service and meals. We tried almost half the appetizers and loved all of them. Our entrees where equally wonderful. I'm not a desert person at all, but opted for the Macadamia Nut/Almond Tart, its to die for. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. Pros: Food & Service Cons: Nothing!!! more

The beef tastes like leather 11/2/2006

The service and the atmosphere are nice, but the food was not edible. We ordered the recommended dish, which was bland. The second dish we ordered, beef, was like leather meat. I had to send the dish back. Roys was nice enough to only charge us for drinks, but I would still not recommend Roys. more

Great Time 9/22/2006

My wife and I were going to Flemings for dinner. We decided to have a drink at Roy's, to check the place out. We were so impressed with the food and especially the service, we cancelled our reservations at Flemings. Everything was sensational, look forward to my next visit. more

bad 7/13/2006

really bad from service to food to management more

Best food & drinks I ever had, scary good. 7/11/2006

I am not joking when I say I had the best food in my life at this restaurant. I got the swordfish in some sort of sauce. It was just incredibly good tasting, I couldnt believe it. The pineapple drink they have in a huge jug behind the bar was the best and got me real drunk. Even the desert was perfect, a large brownie and ice cream chocolate house was to die for. The staff all wore Hawaiian shirts and shorts and were extremely friendly. Valet parking is standard for all guest when I went there on Mothers day, I assume its like this all the time. I cant wait to go back. Pros: Food is the BEST EVER Cons: price more

terrific place for special time 6/12/2005

The menu is different than most of the top places, and I have never gotten anything there I didnt like. The desserts are amazing. I usually dont order them but at this place you have to. more

A pleasant surprise... 10/20/2002

Highly recommended! If you're looking for something that isn't your run-of-the-mill dining experience, Roy's is definitely worth a visit. The menu skews heavily with Pacific Rim influences. Service was great, and our group was well taken care of. The food was superb- everything a dining experience should be. Much better than the swill offered up by the Inner Harbour chain restaurants. Weekends are understandably busy- we had a group of 8 and yes, we got seated immediately, but we also had a 6.00 reservation. All in all a great experience. Pros: Something different, Wonderful service Cons: Bad for kids more

Awesome 10/14/2002

Far and away the best restaurant in the area. The food, service, and atmosphere are worth every penny. My wife and I tried Roy's for our anniversary, needless to say, we will be there for our next. more
