Dr. Roopitha Kaval, a native of Kolar, Karnataka, India, immigrated to Canada where she completed her primary schooling in Calgary, Alberta. She earned her Medical Degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Kaval completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Baton Rouge General in 2021 and her fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2023. She joined The Baton Rouge Clinic's Endocrinology Department in the Fall of 2023.
Dr. Kaval is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is board-certified in both Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the Endocrine Society.
Dr. Kaval speaks fluent English and Kannada. When not at the office, Dr. Kaval enjoys cooking, painting, photography, and traveling.
