Gotta say I've been a big fan of Rocking Robins since I moved downtown just up the street from the place a year and a half ago. I'm a semi-regular these days, and since Natalie has bought the bar, the place has really gotten a whole lot more going for it. If you like your bars for the people and the atmosphere, this is your kind of place. You walk in and it really has that warm festive feel going for it. People that work the bar are usually very friendly. If you have a problem with eccentricity and/or the occasional bum hassling you for money while your outside smoking or drinking, you'll want to keep on walking to Lodge/Black Finn for your heavily policed fratboy ho-down atmosphere. I've met some very interesting people at this bar ie. ex-mayor Luken and an old Bengals QB, but it definitely seems like anyone you meet there is very friendly. Another nice thing about the place is the music. Someone is always putting on some good toonage on the jukebox which is wired to a pretty nice sound system that keeps a pretty comfortable listening level. I suppose my only gripe, if I had one, is how many paychecks I've burned through racking up huge tabs at the place. It would be nice to get a round on the house or something to that effect one of these days. But at the end of the day, it's money well spent as the place is truly a gem for downtown cincy and seems to get even better every day. Pros: Good time. Good music(jukebox or live). As a patron that frequents Rockin Robins a lot, I think it is the best downtown neighborhood bar. Downtown residents and workers alike come to hangout and unwind. No losers here! Great drink prices for Happy Hour and beyond, different drink specials nightly. I've come in on Monday's and had a pitcher of Margarita's, 10 bucks.\r Food is bar food, but much better, and priced to beat the larger chains that are in the area. Try the Hanky Panks! There are weekly specials, some have included BBQ Ribs, Roast Pork Loin, and Roasted Chicken. Great home style food. Staff is very friendly, professional, and pour a great drink. \r You can come in and check the juke box, play some WII. throw a game of darts . pinball, or an occasional game of beer pong. I love the Rockin Robin. My husband and I discovered while looking for somewhere to hang out downtown that wasn't upscale. We had always heard great things about the place, so we checked it out. Its your simple sports bar meets rock dive....extremely tastefully done. The food is good, bar food....done a little better. The feature great food (burger nights sunday - tuesday) & drink specials which is awesome for people on a budget! Everyone is always very polite, staff and patrons. This has very quickly become one of my favorite places to hang out! And if you refer to someone as a ""bar maid"" of course they're going to hate you. more

Very unfriendly barmaids. Bad attitude. Nasty biker wannabe tatooed gothic barmaids that are lazy and unprofessional. Poor service. You have to wait forever for another drink. The food is not edible unless you want to eat in a FILTHY place. The restrooms are atrociously unsanitary. Customer quality has declined since the introduction of these gothic sluts. Used to be lawyers, professionals, friendly people. Now just a bunch of drunken losers. Not friendly. Like the movie Deliverance when you ask where is Antry? Avoid all downtown Cincinnati. It is a mecca for crime and low life trash. It is the ugliest town in the country. Really dumb people in Cincinnati. Not in touch with any current trends except crime.
