The manager at the photo booth got close to my wife and i..completely smelled of 5 day old bar clothes. i was very uncomfortable when she was in my childs face.

So my girlfriends manager at kodak who works there at rock city is having relations with my girlfriends co worker. the manager is female and treats the one Co worker completely differently..they sometimes take brks in the car or in private areas together. i saw them in her office at the incline and they would sneak off in the maze to make out. Totally unprofessional and creates a hostile work environment for my gf and im also friends with my managers boyfriend (who is not my gf's coworker). Idk what to do. Might contact a lawyer tomorrow because none of this is fair to me or any other coworker. more

A Wonderous Place! 1/29/2008

Rock City is truly an amazing place to go! We had a tour guide throughout the whole journey. The cave paths were awesome! They even had water trickling out of the walls in certain areas. The swinging bridge was kinda scary, but you're too excited to think about that! The lookout point is out of this world! You can see like 7 states....Wow! This is definately a place to see for a reasonable price! more

Great Memories 8/31/2006

I took my three kids to do the whole Rock City, Ruby, Incline, Aquarium, and IMAX trip. The entire trip was a blast! Rock City was always my favorite as a kid and it certainly didn't disappoint me as an adult. My friends thought my kids wouldn't like it (ages 9-14). They had the best time and are still talking about it and want to go back. Pros: I bought a family package which was two nights in the Hampton Inn and all of the attractions. (Breakfast Included!) Cons: Food at the attractions very expensive. more

My favorite attraction on our trip to Chattanooga!!! 3/22/2006

I love Rock City!!! The boys are 11 and 8 and they could play, run and pose for photos and be themselves. Mid way down the path was a souvineer shop with Hot Chocolate. We sat, drank our hot chocolate and had a wonderful view!!! My husband was entertained, my kids had a ball and I couldnt of been happier. Rather than be bored theres something for everyone. Fairyland caverns was spectacular!!! I was afraid it would be too cheesy for the kids but they loved it the most. \r \r \r We stayed at a hotel in town that had a family package and included our tickets to all of the surrounding attactions plus 2 nights stay for $200 so we really didnt feel the crunch of the admissions price from here. WONDERFUL VACATION!!! PROS: Fun for the whole family.. CONS: Nothing bad to report more

Great place to take kids 2/22/2006

I remember Rock City and Ruby Falls, as a great place to go. Every year I traveled from my grandparents house in Virginia to my other grandparents in Alabama, we would stop at Rock City, every year, mostly because I begged to. Around 6, I remember being scared of the swinging bridge, and I would have to walk across the stone brige close by and fearful to look over the edge at Lookout Mt., I remember, my Mom bribing me with a t-shirt that had the gnome on it, if I would look over. I ran looked and ran back. :) But as an adult, a few years ago, I went back, it was just as glorious as I remember, this time I wasn't scared at all. I still have very fond memories and look forward to taking my son there in the near future. I highly recommend Rock City!! more

Fun for the whole family 11/28/2005

I have always enjoyed visiting Rock City with my family. The rock formations are a delight and the decorations at Christmas in particular are something to see. It's a little like stepping back in time- for Southerners in particular. Who doesn't remember seeing Rock City signs on roadtrips through the South? I wouldn't reccomend the tour for very young children as some of the paths go quite high and it's a bit of a walk for little legs. Be sure and check out the gift shop after the tour, and take a few minutes to play at the playground. more

Neat place for the familiy 11/19/2005

This is a place with something for everyone. You take a hike through rock walls and tunnels (some of them are kind of tight and may be rough if you are uncomfortable in tight spots). There is a great fairy land in one of the caves for the kids. All the Mother Goose rhymes come alive with little miniature statues. This is a bit pricy but worth the ticket at least once. more

Fun for the family 11/10/2005

This place is kind of pricy but well worth it. There are beautiful walking paths to hike on that take you through rock caverns, over rock bridges, a swinging bridge. There is a lookout that allows you to see several states all at one time. The kids love it because of the Mother Goose village down in the caves. Really neat place. more

Great lights 10/23/2005

If you are in Chattanooga, Tennessee during the holiday season, you must visit the festival of lights they offer during the Christmas season!! The lights are spectacular and an awesome sight!! Kids will love it...just dress warmly!! more

Fun place for family! 9/30/2005

We went here on vacation and had a ball. There were neat trails through the huge rocks. Beautiful lookout. Incredible Mother goose village that absolutely thrilled my 3 yr old. This was kind of pricy for the family but we were able to find coupons from the Chatt Welcome Center. Worth the money for a one time visit. more

Super Spot 8/26/2005

Rock City Gardens is a lovely place to visit. Combine a ride on the incline railway, and a visit to Ruby Falls and you will have a full and satisfying day on Lookout Mountain. It's cost effective for families and great exercise. At Christmas the lights are lovely and in fall the colors breathtaking. Pros: great atmosphere, variety , family value Cons: facililties dated more

Touristy 8/26/2005

The lines were long and moved slowly. Rubly falls was my favorite. We stayed in Chattanooga and didn't have a great hotel experience. There are some great places to stay, but we didn't research first. We were in a bad area and there were youth baseball tournament players staying there. The tickets & food were a bit pricey. It wasn't a bad experience, just not one of my favorites. Pros: friendly people, interesting Cons: crowded, slow lines more

A Timeless Tourist Attraction 7/25/2005

Perhaps Rock City holds a sepcial place in my heart because I grew up going there with my grandparents each year when we came to camp in Tennessee. Funny how life comes full circle and now I live here in Chattanooga. Rock City has been around long enough for my Dad to have gone as a child and it is a magical place for children. Squeezing through the Fat Mans Squeeze and the Needle's Eye, looking out over Lovers Leap, trying to see seven states at once, etc. Located on Lookout Mountain, Rock City weaves around the mountain with lots to stop and see along the way. Elves are tucked here and there, there beautiful views and a whole Mother Goose display at the end (right before you exit into the gift shop, of course). Adults will probably not get as big a kick out of it as the kids, but it makes for a fun afternoon. The grounds are clean, there are several restrooms along the way, and admission is not outrageous. This is a legendary attraction that you won't want to miss. PROS: Quirky and more

See Famous Rock City 7/22/2005

To get an objective opinion on this place is tricky business. Depending on who you ask, opinions might range from "It's just a bunch of rocks on a cliff", to "It's a fun family outing and romantic place for a memorable date." My personal opinion is the latter. There's so much history (from the 1800's) and tradition tied up in this place that it seems a shame not to go here at least once in your life. It is a little more expensive than I would like ($12.95 Adults, $6.95 Children 3-12), but you can't put a price on romance. I mean for the price of a bouquet of roses, you can instead take your loved one here to see breathtaking views of 7 states and awe inspiring rock formations. In short, you can give them memories that will last a lifetime. This is also a place that delights children with all the Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village and in wintertime they have festivals of lights which are beautiful. They are open year round except Christmas Day. They open at 8:30 a. more
