I purchased a new 2015 Ford Explorer in April. I noticed a nickel size paint defect on the front grill in September and toor it to the dealership service department. I was told that Ford would need to approve the repair. Pictures were taken and submitted. Two weeks later I called to be told but the service advisor that Ford would not fix it. I called Ford to appeal and was told that the service department had to submit any appeal. I called the service advisor back and he surprised to know this but agreed to re submit the repair request. About a week later I was told that Ford again turned down the repair. At this point I contacted the Rich Poe the general manager at Rob Sight. He was very understanding and helpful. He told me he would investigate and get back to me.Two days later, Bruce the service manager contacted me. I tookthe vehicle to the dealership for he and the body shop manager to examine. They agreed that the paint defect was not caused by damage. Bruce contacted Ford and got them to agree to pay for half the cost of the repair. The really nice thing is that the Rob Sight dealership agreed to pay the other half. Thank you Rich Poe and Bruce. Nice service. Nice people. more
