Excellent! The BEST donuts and many great pastries. Owner told me he and wife have been in business 40 years, I have been going there for 20 years. Always excellent! They are ma and pop hometown owned and make exceptional donuts. The donuts don't get smaller and skimpier each year like the chains. Go and try some. I recommend a hand cut huge and crusty glazed fried cake....Made fresh daily or a seasonal or special like pumpkin donuts in the fall. PB & J donuts are great too. Prices very reasonable too! more

So Good!! 10/7/2010

These are by far the best in our entire area. We live in Victor and drive all the way there because nothing else compares. Favorites are the Fastnachts, apple fritters and the jelly sticks. So so good we are almost glad that they are not closer to us or we would be gorging nonstop. They have a huge and faithful following so sometimes the parking lot is pretty full, but don't give up. So worth persevering. more

Best Donuts Anywhere...I've lived all over this country and these donuts are by far the best I've had anywhere. Always fresh and delicious...you will go back again and again!!! more

Best Donuts in town 10/3/2008

My family only gets our donuts at Ridge Donut Cafe. The donuts are always fresh and they have a huge selection. My favorite are the apple fritters. They also serve soups and sandwiches, but the donuts are what bring us back, over and over. more

  • The Ridge Donut Cafe has been locally owned and operated for 39 years. We originally opened the shop in Irondequoit in 1977 on Ridge Rd E. In 1996 we moved to 1600 Portland Ave Rochester adding the cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Over the years, we have managed to maintain our quaint comfortable atmosphere. Our goal to ensure that each recipe stays unchanged because we love providing unique flavors that you can't find at other chain donut shops.
