I have to tell you that I have been getting adjustments for the better part of 10 years by various chiropractors. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Schmidt. He is a Champion in the field of Chiropractic care and has made a profound positive effect on my health in only a short amount of time. I have seen several Chiropractors over the years, but Dr. Schmidt stands out because of the obvious skill which he brings to his practice. I was recently referred to Dr. Schmidt to treat a dislocated rib joint that I injured in a car accident over two years ago, and which I had suffered with undiagnosed until recently. I feel compelled to share the morbid details of my ordeal; how Radiologists missed the problem, about the Pain clinic that ripped me off with costly and unnecessary treatments, and how my Family doctor acted more as an adversary than an advocate - but this isn't the right forum for that story. The short story is that I spent two years and many thousands of dollars in desperation while feeling like I had broken glass grinding around in my back, and that Dr. Schmidt was able to identify the source of the problem and to treat it with his own hands - without drugs, needles, or the need to take me apart to install wires or pins. What a wonderful ability that is! Dr Schmidt took a thoughtful and gentle approach to my problem, and by understanding how it got from one place to another, he was able to manipulate the unruly rib back into it's sockets. I felt improvements almost immediately, and I can feel my back becoming more stable and less painful with each week that passes. I have chronic back problems and I have had several surgeries and countless therapies. Dr Schmidt's Chiropractic treatments are helping to give me relief which I wasn't getting from Steroid injections or medications. That's important because I'm never going to magically be able to heal like I did when I was young, so every day that I can increase my quality of life is another day or two that I can put off another surgery or lower my needs for medications. My first impression of Doctor Schmidt is once he put me at ease with his enthusiasm and good nature I knew I was in good hands. After a few visits he loosened up alot of tense lower back muscles and found some other things that needed attention just by reading my back with his fingers. I no longer get sore at my job that requires me to stand all day. The doc also reduced scar tissue by some 50% in one visit which surprised me to no end. Being a hairstylist and aerial dancer, I have needed continuous care to keep me in top shape and found chiropractic care 7 years ago! The difference I found with Dr. Robert however, is that he said he could help me with my flexibility! I had never been able to do the splits in my entire life and I thought it was odd that he could even do anything about that. After seeing him for about 4-5 treatments on my legs, not only was he able to explain to me why I had never been able to do the splits, he corrected the problem. I was able to go right down into a side split for the first time ever! After that he was also able to release forearm,wrist,shoulder, and neck stiffness and pain I was experiencing on a normal basis. I now see him for both chiropractic and muscular care on a regular basis! I continue to improve my flexibility and he is always able to correct any new abuse I put on my body from dance or cutting hair. I recently went to see Dr. Schmidt at Restoration Chiropractic. He was able to see - by the way I was standing & before I told him, that my lower right side of my back hurt. I had tried stretching the area, warm baths, etc. Nothing seemed to relieve it. He used Myofacial Pain Release treatment & basically eliminated the pain I had for the past 3 months within 5 minutes! I have been back for relief of neck & shoulder stiffness since then. He has years of experience & gives his patients the knowledge & care to live a better quality of life!
