tea service for the hippest little seattleites! 6/22/2009

This is a wonderful place. The tea and tea sandwiches are delicious. The owners are friendly and unpretentious, and welcoming to children as well. There's a nook with toys and children's books, and they do a full tea service for kids-- kids' tea, PB&J tea sandwiches, fruit, etc. Adorable. Pros: delicious tea & food, great venue Cons: not always the fastest food prep more

Remedy Teas is the remedy! 10/10/2008

150 beautiful organic teas! So many teas and not enough time. Personally I love their Matcha latte'. For all those green tea lovers out there, if you haven't tried Matcha you are missing out. It is green tea ground into a fine powder and blended with milk or water...so good with soy and a little sweetener. And the Remedy Cafe does not stop at teas. \r \r They have amazing baked goods, Mighty-O's and Wheat -Free treats. Have I mentioned the Remedy Salad and the many tea sandwiches? You've got to try their ""Apple-Pie Sandwich"", imagine cheddar cheese, green apples, and cinnamon all melted together between cinnamon toast...crazy good! And for those Vegans, yes they can make it Vegan and still delicious.\r \r A great place to bring the laptop and zen out. And for date nights they have a liquor license and are not afraid to add tea to the alcohol.\r Pros: Great healthy food and tea. Cons: The seating can be awkward. more

I go there for the cold-pressed coffee - to die for. 4/1/2007

A small quaint neighborhood stop by the local Cap Hillites. This new coffee/tea shop differs from the other local shops (well known Victrola & Ladro) by having a more bright & clean ambiance. The service is drastically superior to the aforementioned shops, as well as the music (and noise level as a whole). \r \r The tea selection is obviously amazing, but that is their flagship product and thus does not deserve a comparison to other local coffee shops. I am an avid coffee drinker & I have tried every store here in Seattle. They cold-brew their coffee (slow overnight process only using cold water), which comes at a slightly higher price ($3 at time of posting) but I will easily pay that price due to its taste. Very smooth and nutty flavor with very low acid. Pros: Service, coffee, tea selection, location Cons: Small more

Golden Find! More relaxing than a coffee shop 1/2/2007

This place is so cool. My friend and I got large amount of tea and chatted for ever here. Anthony the owner helped me choose a white tea and totaly knew his stuff. The set up is unexpectedly cool from the building it's in. You could almost miss it. I parked on 15th and it was simple to find. I promise you won't be disapointed here. Pros: HUGE selection more

refreshing! 12/26/2006

Great! Knowledgable, friendly staff. Great selection of interesting teas. Tea samples on a lazy susan! Refreshing, modern, clean, and cozy. Perfect little snacks! They also have a nifty li'l retail section. \r It is such a nice departure from the buzzy, banging, bustling, noisy atmosphere of the typical coffee shop. Refreshing! Try it! Pros: service, selection, atmosphere more

Amazing tea selection, great ambiance and staff are super friendly 11/25/2006

First of all, the map service is wrong and will send you to 14th and John - this is 15th and Harrison. Just had to say that because we got lost (should've written down the address, duh). But this place is amazing, great for groups and a very fun atmosphere. \r \r The Staff:\r The owner and staff are very friendly, helped us with tea selections, etc. They gave us milk and extra cups when we asked.\r \r The Ambiance/Crowd:\r It was low-key but fun, lovely green paint with earthy electronic background music and nice lighting. They have lots of tables plus a really fun low table with big white cushion-chairs that they call marshmellows. This is great for a group like we had, plus we all shared tea quite easily. In this area you'll find interesting books and magazines as well.\r \r The Teas and Food:\r 150 organic teas - if you are an organic gourmet, you know this is pretty stunning. To find 150 is a big number for organic teas and most places merely mix in a few blends so they get the organic name. The teas are excellent, they have the usual selection plus a lot of unusual blends like #62 Black Satin - a black tea with a caramel flavor, our favorite of the evening. They have a great Macarina bakery ""Budapest tea bread"" that is slightly sweet, plus vegan treats, salads, cookies, etc.\r \r They have organic wines, beers and tea infused cocktails. I wasn't drinking that night (sadly, because an Earl Grey mimosa called to me). They also have a nice selection of tea related gifts, like strainers, cups, kettles and even tea incense. All of it is classy and attractive. I saw some kids toys as well, so I think it could be good for kids during the day. \r \r Highly recommended! Pros: Lighting, music, parking, teas, service more
