I recently hosted a shower at this restaurant, and as a result I would never recommend it to anyone for a special event. 3 or 4 phone conversations with the owner/manager of this establishment during the time leading up to the event proved him to be rude, condescending, and unfriendly. We were ""guaranteed"" 25 for the ""loft"" upper room. At no time was I told this meant a ""minimum charge"" for 25 people, regardless of attendance. In fact, I was asked to call 2 days in advance to give a ""count"". On the day of the shower, we had 16 adults in attendance and 1 baby. I am grateful that we did not have more people. The restaurant is small, and the Sunday buffet had people packed in ""like sardines"". 2 of my guests were treated rudely by the receiving attendants in the buffet line, who were directing traffic at the buffet line like ""drill sergeants in a mess hall"". To add insult to injury, I was charged for 25 people because, quote the manager, ""the loft can seat 40 people"" (poor business practices to say the least). Perhaps it can seat 40 sardines. I doubt it can seat 40 people. In my quest to find something positive to say about the experience, I came up with 2 points. 1. The servers (Brittany and company) did a great job. 2. The food was good. It was tasty and there was a large variety. The only problem? It was so difficult and uncomfortable getting it, you probably won't go back for seconds. Definitely not worth the $25.00.
Pros: Average food, good service
Cons: overbooked, overpriced, small, unfriendly
