I was running to catch the bus this morning, and the wonderful driver of cab 117 (according to another review, it's Marcus) pulled over and told me to get in and he'd get me to the bus. The bus skipped the next stop and he kept me and promised to get me on--even started motioning to the bus driver to pull over! He was so nice and did not let me pay him anything. Very kind and not the kind of thing you see every day. more

Worst service ever 12/15/2011

I entered a Red Ball Taxi and asked to be taken to my nearby (1.5 miles away) hotel. I have taken a taxi several times from the same location and was charged $6 for the ride. The Red Ball Taxi driver (could not see his name plate) told me he wouldn't take me unless I paid $10 for the ride - that he was waiting for a fare to the airport. more

Hot Cabs! 6/4/2011

Worst cab service ever! After going only a few blocks and the meter hitting around $12 we immediately told him to stop. He stopped but pulled away doors open with some people still in the car. They were screaming and he wouldn't stop to let them out. I had to chase the cab a block down a vacant street before he let the remaining passengers out. It was terrifying. His ID wasnt displayed & I believe the cab # was 256. more

Dispatcher very short with me on the phone 11/6/2008

Needed information on transportaion when I arrived at a certian location, I had to repeat myself several times and still ended up spelling out the street name. Finally, I was told they don't service that area. Where is the good customer service in taxi service any more??? Cons: Need to learn to listen to the caller better and give better information more

Stay Away from Red Ball 9/11/2007

Where do I begin....Our cab fare started out with $2.50 extras charge. When I asked what this was for, I was told it was for the gas fee and night time fee. Meter was running abnormally fast. Cons: Fast meter, brough us to wrong place, unneccessary extras added to meter. more

The Worst Taxi Experience Ever.. 2/16/2007

I hate to label one company bad, when this is the first bad expereince I have had. Saying they have ""fast"" meters does them way too much justice. This particular cab, #73, was running at a rate of $8 a mile. I repeatidly asked to be allowed out of the cab and was denied. The doors were looked and the knobs of the locks removed. I felt my life was being threatened as the driver yelled and drove with no regard for anyone. My rights were completely violated, and experiences like this are reasons why Baltimore is still falling apart. I sure hope the cab driver doesn't treat tourists as bad as locals. more

couple of bad experiences 6/5/2006

extremely fast meters plus $1 night charge translate to average rates that are about 30% higher than other baltimore cab companies. i tend to avoid. more
