Rancho Jubille Llc

My son Jessi and I currently visited the restaurant and it was amazing. Before visiting El Rancho Jubille I read the reviews of other people that visited the place and I felt kinda confused. Now that I visited El Rancho Jubille for the first time ever, I feel happy, excited, and SO satisfied that I actually went on to visit the Restaurant. The food is excellent and so tasteful. The service is really good and fast. The restaurant looks very creative and tropical, you feel like your actually in Dominican Republic. If you have never visited El Rancho Jubille, PLEASE don't listen to these people that say negative things towards the restaurant. In my opinion this is a 5 STAR* restaurant and It's definitely worth every cent of your pocket. I went with my wife to eat for a special accation! What a mistake! I wish I had read this review Before going there. There service is horrible an the food as well. An not to mention pricy. I don't now how the radio stations could promote this place so much! I think they should go there to eat before promoting it. I recomend people to go to McDonald instead of this place! I gave them one star because I had to put somthing in but they don't even deserve 1/4 of that! Pros: NONE!!! Cons: Good luck getting any service after seating! more

I have been to Rancho Jubille twice and am definitely planning to return. I haven't been there on busy nights so the seating was very prompt. The service is good and professional. The food is great; the menu offers a variety of Caribbean dishes. The drinks are good but I think are a bit overpriced considering this is Queens. The music is a bit too loud. My husband and I wanted to treat my sister to dinner for her birthday and decided to go to Rancho Jubilee. I felt so bad for taking my sister there for her birthday! First of all the chairs were very uncomfortable since they were made out of some kind of bamboo material and kept on making annoying sounds everytime you moved in your seat. I started to loose circulation in my legs! My sister order the Mofongo with Crab, my husband ordered the Mofongo with Pork, and I ordered Grilled Pork Chops. My sister's Mofongo looked scary as it was drenched in some kind of red sauce and I think it was to cover up the taste of the crab. My husband's Mofongo with Pork was so dry he drank four glasses of water and still needed more. My plate had a big chip on the corner and the vegetables on the side of my Pork chops were ice cold! To top it all off our waitress disappeared for literally 1/2 an hour and we waited forever for our bill! I was desperate to leave as I could not feel my feet anymore on that terrible uncomfortable chair! Will never go back again. Overpriced for such bad service and bad cooking. I heard about this place millions of times on the radio and I decided to try it out. My boyfriend and I went for dinner last Thursday night. What where we thinking? The Red Sox where playing? how could we be sooo inconsiderate toward the waiter? Showing up during the game and actually expecting him to take his sees off the game long enough to realize he did not provide plates for the dinner rolls or utensils. After trying the food I began assessing the start of the evening. I started thinking ?It wasn?t all bad the valet parking was a plus and the Mofongo was good?. But after we where done and had to asked 3 different waiters for the check and wait 20mins for the bill. I was convinced that I would never come back. What a mistake! I have lived in NYC all my life and I love Spanish food (Colombian, Dominican, Cuban, etc.) This is by far the worst tasting Spanish food I have ever had. The rice was bland, the beans were lacking flavor, the maduros were burnt and over ripe, and the meat was a 99cent cut that the cook tried to hide by drenching it in a poorly made hot sauce. My party and I know, love and cook food and this was just downright awful. We told them about it and they did not seem to care. The prices are not bad if the food was up to par however $17 for a plate of garbage in NYC is over priced. I suggest going to Cafe Rubio, Natives, or ordering in from Caridad.
