Best Thing I've Ever Done! 5/11/2010

I had LASIK surgery done in February 2010 and I couldn?t be happier. Everyone at The Raleigh Eye Center in Raleigh, NC is great! Kelley was wonderful to work with during the consultation and Dr. Kiley definitely knows how to work the laser! They practice great customer service in their office and have a high percentage of terrific results. I would recommend this procedure to ANYONE that has poor vision and would definitely recommend The Raleigh Eye Center. I had pretty bad vision with blue eyes and large pupils and came out 20/15. Thank you to everyone at The Raleigh Eye Center! Pros: excellent results more

Ignore negative reviews 3/15/2010

I was very worried about going to this place for Lasik surgery. No one else had written reviews for Lasik only normal eye care service. (If you are going to a surgeon for glasses you can expect to wait because they are divided in their tasks and they are getting more money from surgeries). I digress... Pros: everything Cons: I live so far away (not their fault of course) more

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE 3/15/2010

(I wrote the following review because google reviews were bad so I am going everywhere I can to undo the damage).... Pros: PRICE,SERVICE,QUALITY CARE more

I trust this practice 3/25/2009

I have been a patient of Dr. Kiley, and The Raleigh Eye Center for 17 years. He did my LASIK surgery 11 years ago. I had been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade and my prescription was very high (-11.5). LASIK surgery changed my life. For the past 11 years I have not had to wear glasses or contact lenses. I could not be happier with my results. My entire family are patients of The Raleigh Eye Center. My daughter, my parents and even my grandparents. This practice truly cares abouth the entire family. This is a busy place with lots of patients and the parking is not the best. But inside this building are the MOST caring eye doctors and staff I have found. Pros: Experienced doctor and friendly staff Cons: crowded location more

Very Sweet 2/12/2009

I saw Dr. Couch 2 months ago for what I knew was going to end up being an exam for my first pair of glasses, ever, as I am 43 and had lost ability to see close up. I waited in the waiting room for approximately 20 minutes, at which time a technician/nurse came out, whisked me into a tiny examining cubicle, and apologized profusely for my wait. She explained that a mix-up had occurred and that Dr. Couch was appalled that I had been kept waiting. It was refreshing to have my wait acknowledged and apologized for. Dr. Couch was a lovely lady, very nice, extremely thorough in her explanation, and overall very pleasant. The exam itself was fast. Some of the drops were unavoidably uncomfortable, but in general it was a very positive experience. I got my prescription for glasses and was on my way. I'd recommend Dr. Couch to anyone, especially someone who is elderly, nervous, or unsure. more

I will not be seen by this doctor again. 10/9/2008

I have been going to the Raleigh Eye Center for many years for routine eye exams. I have seen a couple or three doctors there. I have always been happy with the doctors. I am unsure why but my wife made an appointment for each of us, on different days, for a routine eye exam with Dr Kiley. After our exams we both came away with the same conclusion in that we will never be seen by that doctor again. He graced himself with his presence during the exam for 2 minutes the rest was handled by technicians. I paid hundreds of dollars for his 2 minutes. If I wanted to be seen mostly by technicians I would have stated that at the beginning and would have been happy. Pros: The technicians were prompt. Cons: I left with the impression that I needed another examine by another doctor with more time. more

DO NOT VISIT HIM. HE SEES MORE PATIENTS THAN HE CAN HANDLE. WOULD PUT ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.‎ 8/12/2008

I have been visiting Dr. James W. Kiley since 1995 almost everytime I've needed an eye exam. I will NEVER visit him again. My intent during my most recent vist to Dr. Kiley was to have an eye exam and receive a perscription for both glasses and contacts. I had to wait a while, which was fine. However, when Dr, Kylie finally saw me, he made a slapdash, hurried examination and was ready to see the next patient. When I told him I wanted to be fitted for contacts, his response was, ""Oh, take the glasses perscription to wherever you get it filled. They'll be able to take care of it from there."" Before I could protest, he was out of the room. I am furious. I paid money for Kylie's care, and he gave me less than adequate care. Now I have to pay more money to go to someone else to get contacts. I understand doctors' offices are busy and unforseen things happen while looking at patients, but Dr. Kylie should not take more patients than he can handle. After all, how long should a contact lens fitting take? I had the courtesy to wait for him to show up. The least he could have done was spent five minutes fitting me for lenses. Do not go to this doctor. Do not go to the Raleigh Eye Center. \r Pros: if you want to waste money on poor service Cons: hurried eye exam, wasted money, overschedules patients more

Cannot speak to the Lasik aspect of them, but to just get glasses, via eye exam, oh, mercy go somewhere else. Pros: If you do NOT go there Cons: Poor quality, poor care, feel like factory herded cattle more
