When I made my first tentative call to RJK Construction the only things I knew for sure were that I wanted a new bathroom and approximately what I wanted to spend. I did not have a lot of time (or inclination) to spend on shopping for fixtures, tile, etc. and I explained this to Suzanne up front. She and Rob (and their crew) took care of everything from that point on. Except for the tile, which I selected from a showroom with Suzanne’s help, everything else was presented to me and brought to the house for my approval: granite, paint samples, shower, sink and light fixtures, it could not have been easier. The quality of the work (including an innovative tile design that Rob did) was exceptional and the workers punctual and neat. I was given regular e-mail updates on the progress of the project as well as the timeline for completion. Everything was done in a timely manner and even came in slightly under budget. Above and beyond the quality of the overall workmanship, RJK Construction provided a very personal aspect to the remodel: there was never any question that I was in very good hands. We love our 3 new bathrooms and so do all the people that come to our house. We show them off every opportunity we get and also take every chance afforded to us to recommend your company for all types of remodeling. Your prices are fair and the work you do is excellent. We could not have asked for a better contractor. Your honesty, integrity, and work ethic are #1 in our book. The crew at RJK is the best. Their work is impeccable, their customer service is tops, and they are truly an asset to your company. The work area was always left clean after a hard day’s work and everything was neatly put away and tidy. Suzanne was excellent in handling all the business aspects of the job and helping us to pick out tiles and accessories that would complement the vision we had for our home. We got great deals and we never felt that RJK was profiting unfairly from us. Rob has an eye for detail and his constant desire to make us happy was what really impressed us. Any concerns we ever voiced were addressed and taken care of, even after the job was complete. This type of care for one's client makes RJK stand out from the rest. We are very pleased with our remodeled master bathroom. Rob and Suzanne were so helpful and easy to work with. They listened to what we wanted, helped us design and find products, and worked within our budget. We were impressed with Rob's professionalism and workmanship. Rob works to have the finished product perfect for the customer. He replaced tiles in order to change the location of the shower/tub faucet and handle. When the recessed mirror medicine cabinet would not fit, he had mirrors framed with wood that matched the cabinetry. He pays attention to details. We love the recessed tile area in the shower for shampoo bottles. He finished the windows with molding. The tile on the shower walls and floor, the cabinetry, and the granite countertop are fabulous. I now have cupboard and drawer space, a whirlpool tub, recessed lighting and sleek faucets and accessories. I am definitely having R.J.K. Amazed and Excited about my new kitchen I am unbelievably amazed and excited about my new kitchen! I could not have imagined that it would turn out so beautifully. Suzanne Kalmin of RJK Construction, Inc. designed my kitchen. Before we selected a contractor or even knew what we were going to do, Mrs. Kalmin took our ideas and the current styles in our home and turned them into my dream kitchen! She helped my husband and I evaluate and reevaluate the layout and selection of our cabinetry, appliances and lighting. The design of our backsplash was perfect to compliment our color sink choice. Our kitchen feels Just Right! It completely reflects my husband and my style. Of the greatest importance, Mrs. Kalmin worked with our very limited budget and was able to get the materials necessary to create the look we wanted within our budget. I am so very thankful for her designer's eye, her patience and creativity with pulling together the look we wanted ... I am unbelievably amazed and excited about my new kitchen! Rob and Suzanne Kalmin are wonderful; they are very good at what they do and are a pleasure to work with. They both care tremendously about the quality of their work (and their crew's work) and I never once doubted if there was a small bump in the road that they wouldn't correct it. We had done a lot of research and read the horror stories of projects gone awry, crooked contractors, and poor quality work - none of this came into play with RJK. Incredibly lucky to have found them 1/11/2011

Due to a second-floor water leak, we experienced extensive house damage that resulted in us losing our entire kitchen (floors, cabinets, etc.). On top of this, we had finally been picked for an adoption which added a significant time crunch. My wife and I did our research and interviewed several companies. RJK towered over everyone else with whom we spoke. We loved that they were a soup-to-nuts company -- that they coordinated everything - the plumbing, electrical, tile work, painting, etc. Furthermore, they had an excellent balance of design and engineering. Our initial impressions of the company were correct, but insufficient as to how wonderful they were. Instead of coming in with their own ideas of how our new kitchen should look, they listened to us, talked to us about how we used the kitchen (e.g. my wife loves to bake), and worked with us to design something that we would love. One thing that really stood out is that they have middle-class sensibilities. They were always on time - and when they were stuck in traffic, they called to let us know they were late. They cleaned up after themselves every single day. They did the common sense things that are often not that common sense. As a woodworker, I am picky about how things are done when it comes to cabinetry and trim-work. I was incredibly impressed with their craftsmen and craftsmanship. RJK was ultimately focused on making sure we were satisfied. They communicated well. They pricing was highly reasonable. They masterfully coordinated all the moving parts so it all worked smoothly. The owners, Rob and Suzanne, spent time assisting us on design selections and throughout the project their staff kept us informed on a daily basis regarding the work schedule. Their team was polite, patient, and considerate and despite the blizzards worked diligently to get the project finished within a reasonable time. RJK strove to ensure that the remodel would be a stunning complement to our home. I highly recommend anyone considering a remodel or an addition to give RJK a call. Thank you most of all for being EXACTLY who you say you are and more. RJK Team, you have been the best experience I have ever had working with contractors. Your teams are professional. You actually clean before you begin, and at the end of each day. You protected my hardwood entrance with cut to fit plywood, my carpet with special adhesive plastic, and my rooms with frame/zippered plastic, for dust and privacy! You, Rob and Jason have communicated most effectively with me at least twice daily, as the Team meets prior to the day, and when day's work is completed, to discuss what will happen tomorrow. It is so easy for me to know exactly what is going on. It is important to me, that each sub team: Scott's expert framing, Vladimir’s electric, Mitch's plumbing, Felix's tile etc. each has their own job specific blueprint posted, along with the overall blueprint. There is effective communication ongoing all the time, as well as Rob, Suzanne, and Jason Chris to oversee all.
