I am totally disappointed with this mover.
Before we moved, we had an estimate of what we were going to be charged for the move. Ben just walked through the house and then sent us an email with the amount of money the move was going to cost us. One of the reasons I went with this mover is that he assured me that they had a great insurance policy and that I would be reimbursed for ""anything"" that was broken - no matter how big or small!
The move took longer than the movers thought it should take, so they kept insisting that we pay more money for the move. They said we had more boxes than was estimated. Well, our bid and Ben never said a thing about the number of boxes we would be moving. We were just given a price! We actually had a lot less to move than when Ben did the estimate. We had donated a lot of items, so they were not part of the move.
I have talked with others who have moved, and this seems to be quite a common problem. You are quoted one price and then the movers insist on charging more.
We had a number of items damaged during the move. When I contacted Ben, he kept reassuring me that he would send the check shortly. I talked to him many times and he said they had a cash flow problem right then, but I should get the check within a few days. It is 6 months since our move, and we have NOT seen any check.
My advice: stay away from this company, and find another mover. They can't all be this bad...
