Pungo Veterinary Clinic

I recently had my cat become very ill was treated rudely on phone and told to go to emergency vet. during regular business hours, finally after becoming angry I was seen the same day. Was charged $50 office visit for my sick cat whom had to be put to sleep. Also was told $150 to $175 to neuter my male lab mix had him neutered by peta for $70 with 3 days of take home pain meds for him. I have been going to pungo for over 10 years and its getting harder for me to afford to bring my pets in and some of the newer staff is very rude. Cons: high price more

My Golden had to be treating for Heartworms, He really loves going to pungo vet, He is really a different dog when he gets there because as a puppy he would be loved on and back behind the receptionists desk, and now at 55 ibs. he still wants the love from the girls, they are great, it does not matter how many people are in there, if you have them on the phone, or in front of the receptionist desk, you have the whole staffs full attention. You just really feel important and I felt really bad because last year financially I had issues and missed some vet appointments and he ended up with heartworms, I was in shock, and felt so bad I just wanted to cry in the room. They made me feel better, and said I was not the only one and it is very common in this area, so even though lack of my care caused his journey with pungo vet which should not have been a case, I was really in shock , my baby with heartworms, how awful even though I still feel responsible, I got it taken care of I paid payments and final payments within a couple of weeks and schd. his appointment. The point is they never critisized me they knew I knew the importance of heartworm pills, but things do happen so they not only helped my baby they helped me emotionally deal with the guilt, so now it is over and we are going on to step two making sure he is clear in two weeks. The moral of the story is even if you have to go without something keep your dogs on heartworm pills no matter what life brings you because that few dollars a month will cost you with over four hundred when they tell you they are positive, it is really stupid for my dog to go through this but it is what it is. Don't even say it won't happen to your dog because my dogs are inside dogs I never thought that would be anything I would have had to deal with. But thanks pungo for saving my dog and making his life a longer and a healthy one again. See you in two weeks. Get up to pungo get your dog checked for heartworms !!!!!!! Before it is to late !!!!!! I took my cat here a few months ago and ""assumed"" that the amount they charged me was for everything done at that visit. I went back a few days ago and was told that they made a mistake and failed to bill me $15, the problem was that they now wanted $66 from me. I had no idea that I owed them $15. I told them that I did not mined paying the $15 but the $66 was unreasonable. This must have upset the owner/vet because she came around the corner yelling at me that I need to pay their attorney fee's. I explained to her that her front desk said that it was their mistake so it was unreasonable to ask me to pay her attorney fee's. The kicker is that I never heard from an attorney so I'm not sure what they were paying an attorney for. I have been taking my animals here since I was 10 years old and yet the vet cared more for her attorney fee's then my continued business. She was unprofessional and unreasonable about the whole situation. BEWARE! Take your business to another vet, one who would value your business. more

I switched from my old Vet a few years ago after I heard good things from some friends. My old Vet prices kept climbing and it was out of the way. They are very caring and spend time with you and don't try to talk you into unnecessary treatments. My pets aren't afraid to visit them either like they were at my old place. When I had to put my one dog down due to illness they were compassionate and in no hurry to be paid. It is a family friendly kind of place who in this day and age aren't in it to make a buck like most places are. I have recommended many of my friends and neighbors to them and am so happy to have switched from my old Vet to them. Pros: Friendly, caring, compassionate more

The staff at Pungo is by far the most caring and helpful people in the industry. They are treating my dog that I just adopted for heartworms. I feel more at ease with him in their care than I would anywhere else. They were HIGHLY recommended to me by several people. Glad I listened. The staff and the vets have answered all my questions knowledgeable and with compassion. Never feel hurried or like a number. If you have an animal that you dearly love then Pungo is the place for you. They love the animals like they are their own and that in itself is enough to know that they will give the BEST care possible. more

My family and I have been using Puno Vet for more than a decade and would recommend Pungo Vet to any pet owner. We currently have three dogs and we love the care they receive from Pungo Vet. Three neighors highly recommended Pungo Vet. I have never seen such caring, compassionate and knowledgeable professionals at any other vet office. My dog loves beging there. They go out of their way to make sure my dog is treated well and they manage to make the visit a very pleasant experience for both animals and owners. i love my vet clinic and its staff!! my baby roscoe and i have been going there for about 5 years now and every time i have a question or concern all i have to do is call and ask. they always have an answer or are atleast helpful in letting me know what to do. anyone who does not agree must have came in with a bad attitude! the girls have the biggest hearts and always have them on their sleeve. my family and i highly recommend this clinic for anyone that wants the love and attention their baby deserves. All I have to say about the above review is that IT MUST JUST BE YOU. I have been coming to Pungo Vet for 10 years and never had anything but kind hearts and smiles. They go out of their way for you whenever they can and always have a rescue of some kind that they are fixing up and adopting out. \r I would never go anywhere else with my animals that I love as my children. I have seen people get upset that they could not be clients with my vet, since they do stop taking new clients when the times calls for it. I had to applaud them for the reason when I asked.
