Still Iffy 5/1/2009

Just got a request from Judy's book to update my review so here it is. Funny on the timing as I was just talking to a friend last weekend that is listed with Prudential. He was disappointed because they advised him to hold the line on price above the last sale in 2007 for a town home like his and now are saying he will need a big price reduction to sell. He understands that things have been slower but is unhappy that 2 others old at 10-15% less during the winter while he never saw an offer because of the price. more

Don't fit Steamboat Values 3/9/2009

It's hard to sum up but over time we just felt that their statement of being number one was true in more than just market share. We didn't need to be catered to but just felt that our goals took a backseat to what was quick and available now. Steamboat is filled with such wonderful and caring people but it always just felt a little different when working with our broker. Our neighbors on one trip were talking about their experience buying a place and how good they felt about the process and their broker. Talk about a night and day difference. We couldn't be more thankful that we stopped to talk that day because the change we made felt so much better and negotiated us a great deal. more

Bad: I felt like they were pressuring me to buy their listings and couldn't substantiate the reasons they gave for avoiding other options that people I trusted recommended. more

Prudential Steamboat fails to impress 3/30/2006

I contacted Prudential for information on condos in the $500K range in Steamboat Springs. The person didn't call me back for 2 days, the second one didn't call back with the information they promised and the thrid one passed me to a new assistant who tired but just didn't know much yet. I have talked to a few other people while I was in town that has used them and I heard anything from good service to unresponsive but aloof and hard to track down was a common response. more
