It's not often that you find a moving company that will offer the lowest price, guarantee that price, and provide a top notch move on top of it. This was essentially our experience with Provident. more

Do not use this company!! They will give you a quote that sounds too good to be true and then charge you more than 4X that rate on moving day! Definitely very stressful and not the hassle free moving I was hoping after reading these other reviews. more

Mike and Juan arrived before the promised time (how refreshing) after calling to make sure that it was acceptable. They were courteous, efficient and careful- everything I could have asked for in a moving crew. I would be delighted to recommend Provident Moving to all of my friends and family . I recommend Provident to anyone who is in need of a moving company without a doubt. I called Provident by my friend's recommendation because I had a bad experience from the previous moving company. And I am glad I got his recommendation. They were great! First of all, they gave me a great price. I got estimates from several companies. Some small companies gave me good prices but no insurance so I couldn't use them. Provident had everything what I needed and much cheaper than other big companies. The consultant David was very helpful too.They came on time, did their job very speedy and nicely. Staff was very pride, had good manners. I didn't have any complaints. more

I had just used provident to move my my daughter to her college apartment in Teaneck. It was a small move but to big for me or her to handle. They sent two guys and a small truck and had her packed and on the way in about two hours, 90 minutes later they arrived and two hours later she was moved in. 5 ? hours was a pretty good time. They did not even break for lunch. more

I couldn't imagine this having gone any better, and I actually ended up tipping the guys 10% EACH (there were four of them). Because I was working with about a five day turnaround, Provident couldn't drop off my boxes until 8am the morning of the move, and then they'd be back around 2:30pm to move the stuff I'd packed. Well, as it turns out, they had some slight scheduling changes that day, and I got a call around 9:45am asking if they could come early. ""How early?"" I asked. ""I just got the boxes an hour and a half ago."" ""We'll be there in 45 minutes,"" he said. ""I won't be ready then, sorry."" ""No problem, we'll help you pack."" Sure enough, four guys showed up 45 minutes later, packed everything I owned into the boxes in about 20 minutes (it would have taken me hours), took apart all my furniture (bed, couch, bookshelves, etc) and got me moved in in less than two hours (and yes, they insisted on reassembling the furniture despite my assurances that I could do it). They were literally gone from my new apartment at 12:30pm. The $425 I was quoted included the moving, the boxes, and because of the changes, the packing.
