I've been to Precision Tune Autocare (1805 El Camino Real, Santa Clara) twice now, both times for smog checks. Both were good experiences. The Good: Good Price: Coupon (search for "oiltuneplug" in your favorite search engine) brought the smog check price down to $21.95 + $8.25 Certified + $1.75 Transfer Fee = ~$35 Took a reasonable amount of time: Less than 30 minutes each time. Friendly Service The Bad: The only thing I can complain about was the condition of the shop. It wasn't the cleanest or most modern shop I have been to. When both cars were being smog checked, they sort of hung out of the garage into the parking area which is shared by other shops. So there is a chance that someone driving by may damage your car if they are not careful. Overall I would recommend this place for smog checks (since that is the only service I've gotten here). Pros: Price, Speed, Friendly Service Cons: Cleanliness leaves something to desire more
