I started using Precision European back in 1995 for oil changes on my 1987 FJ60 based on a recommendation from the dealer who sold me the car. I ran into a mechanical problem that a Landcruiser specialist couldn't solve so I called Jack. He and his crew were able to identify the issue and remedy it quickly and economically.
I've owned several cars since then ('96 Tacoma, '02 S4 Avant, '00 Tundra, '84 Vanagon Westy, '02 X5 3.0, and most recently, an '05 Passat TDI Wagon). He's performed all service for me including routine mechanical services like brakes, timing belts, axels and CV joints, and inspections. I've never had an issue with any of his work and his rates are very competitive.
The service is always impeccable and he gets it right the first time. If you are concerned about cost, ask them for a quote first - they'll tell you what it will cost to get the work done and you can compare the estimate to whoever you want (I wouldn't pay too much attention to hourly rates - what's more important is what get's accomplished during that hour).
I recommend Precision to all my friends.
