I recently moved in the area from the city, where there's no shortage for salons. That's why I was eager to find a good place to glam up in my new neighborhood. After doing the research online, I discovered Posh, which is likely literally 3 minutes away from my house. I went there first time to get my eyebrows twizzed by Daniel, whom the reviewers online praised. I think we all know how difficult it is to find good eyebrow person. Well, you have to worry no more! Go see Daniel!!! He's amazing!!! He takes his time and does precise job! Onto my hair now.I got highlights done by Dillan. It came out looking natural and beautiful, and i got so many compliments on it! Joanne cut my hair and it looks beautiful. One if the things i really like is that everyone there asks tons of question about what the client wants before they start. The prices are a little bit on the higher side, but you get what you pay for. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere at Posh is great! Highly recommend! more

I just moved to the Babylon area 3 months ago and was looking for a new place for my hair. I found it!!!! I had my color done with Dillon and my cut with Christine. I cannot beging to say how amazing they were. They listened to everthing I had to say and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair before. Everyone at Posh was so nice, accomodating and professional. I am definitely recommending Posh to everyone. more

I did my research before going my very first time and I am thrilled to have found Posh! Jillian is a star! She has a wonderful calm energy and gave me exactly what I wanted (beautiful natural highlights). Anna, too, cut my hair exactly the way I asked and Daniel masterfully tweezed my eyebrows, framing my face in a naturally cleaned-up way. Even Chelsea (working with Jillian / washing out foils etc.) was very helpful and professional. Initially I was nervous about finding the right place for me, since after 20 years of loyalty to another salon, they let my colorist go and I tried to track her down to no avail. So, my sense of relief in finding Jillian is huge! FYI, Jillian recommends Kelly if she's not available and I'm confident that's a solid recommendation. Definitely the place to go and well worth the money. more

Maria cut my hair and I was very happy with the results especially because I have very curly hair. The salon was clean and staff were very professional. more

I have been a client of Posh for about 5 years. You are greeted with a smile and friendly words as soon as you walk in. Anna is my stylist and I get tons of compliments on my haircut and styles. She always reccomends good products for your hair type and styling and my hair looks full and healthy. I have used several colorists and have always been happy with my highlights which I prefer to look more natural. Everyone there is very professional, courteous and they always make sure you are comfortable and if check to see if you need any refreshments as well. It is an expense that is well worth the level of expertise you get with your cut and color. They also run specials that are of a great benefit to regular customers as well. I highly reccomend going to Posh and anyone I know who has gone as been very happy as well. more

I have been a client of Posh since the summer of 2010. Danika, one of the best colorists ever, greeted me and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked into this salon, and Anna is a great stylist. When I told her that I like to keep my hair short and prefer razor cuts, she gave me a great cut the first time and every time since. The entire staff is warm and welcoming. I read the other reviews and I would like to say that sometimes people are a little too high maintainance about their hair. I tend to be that way too, but I've found that the staff at Posh more than meet my expectations for my hair styling needs, and I get many compliments on my hair, so much so that some coworkers now have the same style I do. Keep up the great job, Posh! more

Had highlights done and no one could tell that I lightened my hair and I have naturally dirty blonde hair! The hail colorist was very rude and inexperienced! I would def. Not recommend this place it is awful! more

I went to Posh salon 3 times first time I got layers Anna did my layers and I like it. Second time I went for color with Michelle or whatever her name was I asked her to do color and some highlights but she messed the color and the highlights and she was trying to make me pick another put I asked her to do the color I want but she didn't she totally missed my hair up i went for back to the salon the very next day and she still didn't do it right. The third time I went to Posh 2get a haircut and color, I asked them to give me their best hair color stylist and the guy who did my hair color he made it red like orange red it was terrible I went home my fiance and his mom start laughing at my hair color so I called them right a way and asked them to fix it because I had to go to work the following day, so I went back to fix my hair, the same guy tried to fix my hair he just put a temp color on my hair and it was so dark that it covered all the hightlights I paid for, it was a disaster my hair end up being highlighted and colored twice that night and it didn't look good at all not just that that guy who did my hair was yelling at me for not listening to him and sticking with his opinion even though I had this hair color for the past 5 years. About Anna I was very disappointed with her too, she used to be good but the second time I saw her I guess she was in a bad mood or not in the mood at all and she barely cut my hair I was very upset with them. I really Do not recomend this salon to any woman at all. more

Michelle did a keratin treatment on me and it came out wonderful. Shiny and managable. I am very flexible when making an appointment because whoever I get does a great job - color, cut or just a playful blowout (which lasts for days)! I had my hair straightened last year by Antoinette and she totally destroyed my hair. She made me believe she was experienced but she wasn't so now I'm paying for it. I went to Posh for the very first time and got exactly the look I wanted. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional, and the salon itself had a great decor and atmosphere. You are welcomed with drinks and snacks upon your arrival. The environment is welcoming and pleasant. Joanne gave me the best cut i've had in a long time. She is extremely professional and helpful. I only went for a cut this time but will return again for a color. Price might be alittle high but the website had a 10% off coupon for first time customers and it gives a slight discount. Pros: Babylon Village - Close Location Cons: Alittle expensive. more

I have been going to Posh for about 6 months now. They have cut and colored my hair. They also have given me a few blowouts for weddings, and false eyelashes. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. They are a little pricey but I guess this is where the saying comes from, ""You get what you pay for"". I highly recommend Crystal for your cut, Lisa for a blowout and Jillian for your color. Pros: Close by Cons: Sometimes you have to wait to be seen. more

The salon changed there minds on pricing. They were never consistent from the beginning. The saloon wanted to do what they wanted to. I was the customer and they were providing a service for me and that\r is how a saloon business should be operating. I was so disappointed with there behavior and always changing. I would never recommend this saloon to anyone. I came from the city which was quite far with the train. They only care about how much money they can get from you and there stylists cancel whenever they felt like it so you would have to change your schedule too. I hope more and more people have a bad experience so the saloon will close. Please do not ever go to this saloon for any kind of service. There are far better saloons out there that do care and will provide a great service for you. \r \r Pros: Not happy with the saloon. No pro's Cons: pricing was always changing. My experience at Posh salon was fantastic. I recently got married and was referred to Posh salon by a co-worker. I had been to 2 different salons for trials for my wedding day and was far from impressed. I was told to see Crystal for my special day. I had brought in a pic of the style that I was looking for. She worked with my ideas and put her own little twist on in. She explained how the pic was a blond and i am a brunette and how it would make a difference in the feel of the final result. I cant express how pleased I was with my hair. After I left the salon I went to visit my mom and some of my bridesmaids and everyone was in love with the style. The morning of my wedding they had mamosas ready for me and my bridesmaids, if you are anything like me and pay attention to detail then this place is for you. After all was said and done I walked out feeling fabulous alone with my bridesmaids. By the way when I came home from my honeymoon I came back to Crystal so she could cut my hair off and I was equally as impressed. I found my new home. First, they overbooked, so they gave me another stylist of a higher level and tried to charge me the higher price. Second, she didn't LISTEN to me. I get sliced all the way up, so it looks single-proccess even though it's a highlight. Instead, she did a few roots, then put LOW lights in the back. Third, what kind of ""posh"" salon makes you dry your own hair? They wouldn't dry it unless I got a cut, too. Fourth, some of the stylists there had bad hair. I mean, VERY bad hair. Sooooo...I ended up going all the way back to Washington, D.C. five weeks later to get my hair corrected by a stylist I trust. Posh charged me almost $200 for the color. My stylist costs $160 for highlight AND cut including tip, and he's the best in D.C. The price of the train ticket to get Posh's awful work out of my hair was well worth it. Sorry, ""Posh,"" but all the little strawberries and cheap wine don't matter if your stylists do a lousy job. Pros: Nothing Cons: bad scheduling, stylists who don't listen. more

i was surprised at the deconstruction of the former salon since it changed hands & became posh salon. i was scheduled for high lights, cut & blowout. my appointment was for 1030am. i finished at 530pm. so unacceptable. i arrived at 1015am they took me at 11am. my color was done by noon... & my stylist was running behind. so they sat me in a chair at the sink & every 1/2 hr someone would come & moisturize my hair. i got a hair masque & other moisturing products ... they didn't have another stylist to do my hair & stupid me believed them when they said it would only be 15 more minutes. . my colorist did a good job but my hair was a greasy mess for 3 weeks afterwards from all the product (there was no getting rid of the oily stuff). they had the audacity to charge me for all the stalling products ...after complaining to the owner kathy ... they gave me a 1 time 10% discount. $30 off of 300. 100 dollars of that was from moisturizers that i didn't need. i have not gone back Pros: nice decor Cons: see above more

If you want great color, see Kelly. If you want a great cut, see Maria. If you want service, relaxation, and a great experience, don't go to Posh Salon. If you're ontime, call first, I have waited an hour past my appointment. If you're late, call and reschedule. If either, chances are, you will not see who you had an appointment with. The atmosphere is aesthetically nice, however, the personalities within, make for a very uncomfortable visit. I can think of 3 people who work there, who should start their own business, which would put Posh out of business. I hope the owner realizes who keeps the place going, they are irreplaceable and you should really start to see that, and be thankful you have them. The truth is, you need them, more than they need you. Thank God they are faithful to their clients. I'm sorry to say that Posh is anything but ""Posh"". The processing is good, but DON'T get a haircut there. They rush though without a care, and don't treat you right, pushing you onto other haircutters -god forbid you want it blowdried. My mother, sister, and I have all had bad experiences with haircuts- which is pretty horrible, when you're paying $50-$80 for one......
