Glorified Hippie Bazzar 7/12/2002

PSM isn't something you'll want to do every weekend, but it is fun to bring visitors there. Last year when I first moved up I mush have brought 7 or 8 sets of friends to the Market. Fun for me for the first time. After that you realize there is nothing new or changing about it. For the most part it is 1/2 flea market, 1/2 local craft artists. Nothing fancy and sometimes a little filthy. My girlfriend went once and said, that is plent for me thanks. Not for everyone, but if you have a hippie friend perfect. The food is, well undesirable. All typical carnival food. Elephant ears, hot dogs, etc... Typical high in fat, low in nutrition junk food that will clog your artieries. Fun for tourists, but they need to add a true market of local fruits & veggies in order to capture regular local crowd. Pros: Cool local crafts, Elvis - Bum style Cons: Food, Variety, Tie Dye more

LOCAL COOL STUFF 6/11/2002

I enjoyed the Market more than I expected, there were loads of vendors with unique local-type merch. Some crap too, but more good stuff than bad! There were people selling duct-tape wallets, spoon art, fresh jams, photos, polished river rocks and more! Worth the search for a parking spot! Pros: Variety, Outdoors, Inersting Cons: Outdoors, Varying open times, No parking more

Browsing, shopping and eating 5/30/2002

Fun way to spend your weekend, whether you're just browsing and people watching or shopping for a unique gift. I've found some excellent pottery here by local artists; it's one of my favorite places to shop around the holidays (when the hours are extended). Lots of food carts, free music and entertainment. A nice (and free) family outing. On-street parking can be tough to find, though. Pros: unique selection, quality of selection Cons: parking more
