Nice neighborhood bar 12/6/2011

I've been going to this place on & off for about 15 years because of it's layed back & friendly atmosphere. There's never any drama & most of the people have been going there for years & everyone knows everyone else. If you want a great place to go watch a Ravens game & drink some ice cold beer & be able to still have a conversation, I really recommend this place. I don't know who the Chrissy person is that everyone is bashing, but the people that work there now are very nice & down to earth. Not fake like many of the Canton yuppy bars. I LOVE THIS BAR!! more

Wait a minute 5/7/2011

Wait a minute all you Captain Bring Downs! If you are looking for self validation, go to a shrink, but don't go to a local bar. Chrissy was a really pretty gal and pleasant to us..also could have worked at the Sheraton- she had something on the ball you sots were not aware of..sorry for all you nay-sayers, but I think I detect jealousy- bet you are all women! Pol's is Pol's and Baltimore is Baltimore. Just go to the yuppie joints and enjoy paying twice as much for the same beer. Cheers! more

Horrible place... 10/20/2009

I was forced to give it one star b/c it wouldn't let me give none. Was hoping things would get better with Chrissy getting the boot and a new owner. Nope! The place is still gross and it is nothing but jobless drunks that hang out there all day long. They overserve the customers who are falling off barstools and puking all over the floor. They play really bad music..and it is often so loud you can't talk to anyone. The only good thing about it is the nice, sweet daytime barmaid Jody. Cons: Loud, obnoxious drunks... more

This is the worst neighborhood bar in town 10/20/2009

This place is disgusting... I live within one block of this bar and I can hear the music and the loud drunks from my house which is more than 40 yards away... There was an aweful owner there who never took care of the place and hired a drug addict for a bar tender...That was nice... Now there is a new owner and it seems as though he plans on turning this place into a hot spot for baltimores biggest drunks complete with loud music (it aint even good music) and skanks. Shut it down and get out of our quiet neighborhood. Harrys on the other hand great beer and decent food... Harry is consious of his neighbors. Great place since recent new ownership!!! 10/2009 10/19/2009

The new owner named Terry greeted myself and my guest as though he's known us for years. The employees were very respectful and cordial. I certainly will frequent the establishment more often. Pros: cleaner and better organized management Cons: no comment at this time more

I saw a barmaid(if you can call her that) shes a druggie named chrissy with the big fat pool team guy named johnny, hes in love with her and she spits at him. This bar seems to be some kinda imbred place. I think they are all related. What a disgusting place in canton. When she flashes please look away, its worse then looking into the sun and im a guy. more

Who in the world does this girl chrissy think she is? She is drunk or high behind the bar. Yelling at all the customers. Doesnt the owner have a video camera of this? I gave a $20 for a $3 drink and didnt get change. She said I only gave her $10. I told her IF I would have gave her $10 then I would still get change back! After one drink and watching her flash some old guy and yelling at the paying customers because they wanted a drink, it was time for me to get the heck outta there. I thought Canton was a nice place. This is the worse bar in Canton and probably in Baltimore. What a skank she is! Pros: nothing at all Cons: The Barmaid! more

I Just Didnt Get It 7/29/2009

This is not a type of bar I expected it to be. I seriously thought I was going into a layed back environment everyone minds their own and have a few quiet drinks with me a my girlfriends. that is totally not the situation. I thought we were being pranked! How in the world does Chrissy, the bartender, even function? We came in about 6pm and she was wacked out on something and by the time I left cause I had way to much of the drama of screaming and the flipping of the blond hair. She had already done 4 shots in my view who knows what i didnt see... This owner she definitly be ashamed of himself for keeping her on board. Pros: Cheap Cons: Horrible Environment more

A girl named Chrissy works there, shes better known as her block name, Asia. She actually has the guys at the bar bidding on her to take her home for the night, This usually happens around 1 or 1:30am. The owner of pols just laughs about it all. Great little old neighborhood tavern 2/12/2005

one of the last remainig little neighborhood taverns with the orginal old timers of canton. Always a friendly conversation from the people who built canton and always a chance to learn about the years before. Drinks are very very reasonalbe. Stop in to start your night or day off.
