My sister and I went for Deep Clense Facials together and our experience was dramatically opposite. I had Angel and she had Mia. My facial was amazing and the setting was serene and pleasant. My sister's facial was just OK and the setting was horrendous. My facial was up in the spa. There was relaxing music playing, my bed was heated, etc. It was a very spa like atmosphere. I went in before my sister but when I came out, she was already done. I could tell by the look on her face that she was dissatisfied. She told me how she went it 10 min's after me & then was done 10 min's before me. Clearly she did not get the same treatment that I did just by the difference of 20 minutes she was robbed of. Her facial was on the lower level, no heated bed and the room was similar to a Dr office. Mia also did not wrap her hair as Angel did mine. A head massage is performed while your mask is on. Angel was sure to wipe any excess oils from her hands prior to doing so, Mia did not which resulted in my sisters hair looking like she went in for a hot oil treatment and they didn't rinse it off. A hand massage is also rec'd, lotion is put on your hands and then put in heated mitts. My sister's hands were put in w/o lotion. It's a hit or miss I guess. more

From the first time that I have entered Platnium I have received nothing less that wonderful service. Everyone is friendly and will answer all questions with ease and respect. I have referred friends and they too enjoy going here. more

I too am getting married and took the advice from one of the reviewers on your site. I went and saw Trish at Platinum Salon she was amazing! My face glowed was not a bit irritated. I sent my whole bridal party to get facials as my gift to them. Trish also recommended a great make-up artist named Michael near by in Glen Ellyn. I had my trial and he is amazing to say the least. I'm scheduled next week for my "lady" to get waxed before the big night wish me luck! I will report back. Thanks again- Marianne more

This was a shocker! I am new to the area So I depeneded on the internet to find a local facility. I saw there were some good reviews about this place and some bad. I was hesitant to purchase a spa day gift card for my wifes 40th birthday. I walked in to the place on a Saturday around lunch. I was expecting this place to be dead from the reviews I saw about the manager and owner? Though it was very busy which is a nice thing to see. I will add it wasnt so busy that it looked crowded. I walked in and was greated very nicely by a middle aged women I think her name said Karen or Carol? (I forgot) She had a great smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I mentioned to her that I was new to the area and was looking for something for my wife (I didnt mention anything about the poor reviews I saw I was judging everything I saw) She was pointing out some of their key services that she really enjoyed and explained that my wife would also. I sat down for a few minutes to look over the menu since there was so much that I could choose for her. This was my opportunity to talk to the customers. I had asked the 2 ladies sitting near me what would they recommend. One suggested the pedicure, this stuck out to me because she said this was the best pedicure she has ever had. She wont go anywhere else but Platinum. I was like ""wow"" that is pretty good to hear. The other said the facials are amazing! I of course had to ask who should my wife see? She could not stop going on about Marcel or something? and Amy? (Im bad with names) I think that is what she said. So of course I was still hesitant because of seeing these reviews but I figured I would start off by getting my wife one service and see how it goes. Pros: Nice Staff, Large Facility!!! more

I had a microdermabrasion facial a week before my wedding and My skin looked so amazing! I was referred by my friend to see Trisha. You must see this girl! She gave the best massage. Even the extractions were relaxing. She was 100% honest with what I would see over the course of the week. (I was freaking out.. wedding and all) She incorporated a vitamin c heating treatment that made my skin glow for weeks on end. I am now a lifer at Platinum Salon and Day Spa. I had a facial from ""Julia Roberts"" she made such a point to tell me how my skin needed this and that. She waxed my eyebrows and said she was ""designing"" them, they were uneven and taken in too far. She tried to sell me this product line that she said was the best product line for my skin. I looked at the ingredient list and I was allergic to most of them AND I told her what I was allergic to. I have been getting facials for years!! I have never had a worse experience. Maybe I should have gone to this website first, and read the other reviews for this spa before going. Pros: The spa was beautiful! The front desk staff was great! Cons: Facialst was too pushy. more

I just moved to bloomingdale and i went citysearch to find a new spa and based on the previous review, I went to Tricia. She fixed my sad eyebrows! I now have an amazing arch and I get so many compliments! Thanks Tricia! I have recommended all of my friends and family to her. Pros: Not stuffy. Very inviting. No pressure from staff. more

I've a frequent visitor to Platinum and I absolutely love it. You can go there for total mind & body relaxation or just for a quick eyebrow wax. Either way, you will always get one-on-one service in your own private, cozy room -- each thats hooked up to the spa's overhead tranquil music system. Its awesome - I think everyone in the area should give Platinum a try... its always worth the visit. I recommend Trish or Julia for any esthetic services. If they're avaliable, book with them. They love what they do, are extremely friendly, and always do a little extra just to give you the total pampering experience. more
