After reading the great reviews in the Eugene Weekly I had to give this place a try. My date and I waited 10 minutes to order, and were told it would be ""30 minutes"" before our slices were ready. This was OK with me. After waiting for 55 minutes (and reminding them twice that we were still there) I approached the counter and asked how much longer the order would be. The woman behind the counter (a patron mentioned she was the owner) claimed it would be at least another 20 minutes until our slices were ready, and didn't seem to really care that we had been waiting. Granted, quality may take time, but this was ridiculous as a couple seated 20 minutes after we were had their meal and salads... So, my date and I had to cancel the order and left a bit bewildered and frusterated. There wasn't even any sort of apology or admission of poor service. The pizza might be legendary (I didn't get a chance to even try it) but the service is unacceptable and uncaring. I like to buy local and eat organic whenever I can, but Pizza Research Insitute will not get my business, nor that of my friends.
Pros: Good food? (Didn't get a chance to try it for the bad service.)
Cons: VERY poor service.
