Awww more

good Brazilian steakhouse 12/29/2010

Good meat and original Brazilian food. I guess who doesn't know much about Brazilian food won't appreciate this place much. I definitely liked it. The desserts are incredibly yummy!!!! more

Meat ok everything else???????? 2/16/2010

Ok so we went there on v day. Bad idea. 1st a party in the room next to us.. 2 not quiet at all...3 cashier was sweeping while we were eating... Weird selection from the buffet...would not recommend for 1st date... Fogo or chimes would be our ONLY choice.... more

Dry hard to chew food 8/10/2009

the meat was dry and they were hard to chew. I expected a lot more considering the fact that some people compared it to fogo de chao. some were too salty and sone were tasteless. more

Brazilian food 1/4/2009

Unpretentious, authentic Brazilian restaurant. I recommend it if you like meat dishes. You can either get it by the pound or all you can eat for about 21 dollars. I recommend the food by the pound unless you eat like a horse. I love to eat and can pack it in and I could never eat 21 dollars worth. more

A great place for really good steak 5/3/2008

Went on a Saturday night with my wife and another couple. Overall, this is a great place. The steak was fantastic, and they just kept on bringing it. The buffet was interesting. I had some good stuff there, but I don't know what all of this was. The only oddities were the drinks - sodas came in cans - and the servers (not the ones with the food, but the ones who brought the drinks), who were difficult to flag down. For what it's worth, I've also been to Fogo de Ch?o, which is definitely an upscale restaurant, and I would definitely return to Picanha. It's a great value. Pros: Great food, and lots of it! Cons: Wait staff is a bit distracted. more

Highly Overrated 4/17/2008

Went to this place because it was recently recommended(March 2008) by the Inquirer as a great steak/meat house. The meats themselves were quite salty and a bit fatty, but nicely cooked. My two teenagers were put off by the decor and the appearance of some of the foods on the salad bar. I wish we were a little more careful before ordering the ""all-you-can-eat"" choice for them because they weren't fond of anything except the chicken legs and the sirloin. We were charged $20 per person instead of the $17.99 for a Thursday night as posted on their website. I really don't know what Craig LaBan was thinking when he recommended this place. Pros: Ample seating Cons: highly salted food, items on the salad bar looked unappetizing, place looked dumpy more

Not Worth Trying... 4/4/2008

I read some on-line reviews and the review in the Inquirer... all off the mark. Went on a Friday night expecting nothing fancy, but good authentic brazillian food. The service was lacking, as in we had to wait for everything. We must have been sitting for 20-25 minutes before the first meat arrived, and then you better fill-up b/c you will be waiting another 15 for the next meat. The 'food bar' was not good. Although the meat (that you did get) had a nice flavor, the service was bad, quality was just average for the meat, and if you don't like things well done (which none of us did), you will not like it. Spend the extra $$ and go to Fogo... it is worth the price difference. BTW - There were only 5 tables with people on a Friday night @ 7PM - guess that says something about the place and certainly does not explain the poor service. more

Pheonemonal atmosphere 2/3/2008

I didn't think I would like this place, but I stand corrected. I wanted to come here to have a romantic steak dinner with my girl. We arrived at 9pm and ended up staying till midnight???? Who would have known we were in for a night of fun??? I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys thrills! Pros: Fun fun fun Cons: Can get a little crowded!! more
